Ubud is home to a range of quirky boutiques, specialty stores, and markets. The two main markets are Sukawati Market and the Ubud Market. Ubud Market is renowned as a one-stop shopping destination, while Sukawati Market has a reputation for being the cheapest - so if you have the time it's definitely worth visiting both. The Sukawati Market offers clothing, fabrics, cushions, bags and accessories while the Ubud Market has a great range of rattan bags, placemats and baskets as well as sarongs, masks, fabrics, home décor and coconut husk crafts.

Further south in Kuta, Legian and Seminyak the focus is less on craft and more on clothing, shoes and trendy surf products. This is where you'll find big name brands like Billabong, Quicksilver, Body and Soul, Stussy and Ocean Pacific at practically half the price you'd find them anywhere else. Kuta is generally the cheapest with Seminyak being slightly more high end and Legian action as the buffer in between.

Aside from the boutiques, there are also a number of outlet stores where you'll find some great holiday bargains. The southern areas of Bali are also where the majority of homewares and furniture can be found.
