How do I get around Phuket?

Getting around Phuket is easy and affordable, with options like tuk-tuks, taxis, shuttle buses, and private car services all available. The island is also walkable, especially in main resort areas, though taxis may be more comfortable on hotter days.

Can I hire a car in Phuket?

Car hire is available in Phuket, with modern roads and vehicles. Driving is on the left-hand side, similar to the UK and Australia. You'll need a current driver's license in English or a valid International license to hire and drive a vehicle.

Overland entries are limited to a 15-day stay without a visa. For longer stays, obtain a visa from a Thai Embassy or Consulate before departure.
