Getting to Green Island

As the map indicates, Green Island enjoys a spectacularly remote location and due to its popularity as an eco-tourism holiday destination, access is only available to the island via a direct boat transfer from the Cairns Wharf.

Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Australia all operate direct flights to Cairns throughout Australia. Flying time from Melbourne is approximately 3 and a half hours, Sydney is 3 hours and Brisbane is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Cairns also has an International airport which received direct flights from New Zealand, Japan and South East Asia.

Jetstar: Departing from Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Melbourne direct daily to Cairns and from Adelaide and Perth 4 days a week.

Qantas: Provide daily direct flights from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Darwin. Direct flights are also available from Auckland, New Zealand.

Qantaslink: Qantas regional airline provide direct flights from Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, Gladstone, Gove Mackay, Horn Island, Thursday Island, Townsville, Weipa, Hamilton Island.
