Located in Honolulu, the Hawaii International Airport is situated on the island of Oahu and is just 40 minutes from the iconic Waikiki Beach by car. Comprised of two terminals, the main airport terminal is the larger of the two and is reserved for international arrivals and departures while the smaller second terminal caters for domestic flights within Hawaii to other island destinations.
As one of the 50 states of the United States of America, international visitors to Hawaii require a valid passport to gain entry into the country. The USA also operates a Visa Waiver Program which means visitors from certain countries are permitted to enter for a maximum of 90 days without a visa. However it's important to note that any time spent in mainland USA, Mexico or Canada also counts toward the 90 day maximum.
