Great resort right on the beach within a 15 minute walk to the main area of Cheweng Beach

Fantastic hotel for our family including 3 small children. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, shops and hawker stalls. Beach was beautiful with very gentle waves and very shallow. Hotel facilities fantastic including the large pool. All staff very friendly. Kids club average though. Overall a great stay.

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 7 nights.
We loved the photos online however after reading reviews we were very confused if we should go ahead and book the resort as there was so many bad reviews. We decided to go ahead and book anyways and WOW is all I can say, We both can not understand how anyone could possibly complain about this resort.
The pool area was just amazing a swim up bar and plenty of lounge chairs, couches, beds etc around the pool on the grounds and all along the beach.
The beach itself was just perfect
Food - Buffet breakfast huge range and great service, plenty of different food options in different restaurants throughout the hotel and what more can you ask for a resort with 3 restaurants.
The staff throughtout the resort were friendly and no matter what they were doing stopped each time you walked past to say hello and cleaned our room every morning and in the afternoon also come past again to see if we needed anything at all and unlimited bottles of water.
Room - Bed was comfortable, shower was huge and great pressure.
The only tiny complaint i have if i was to be picky would be that the rooms are not as trendy or modern the some other new hotels but i am still confused as to why this would matter when everything works well bed comfy and after all you are staying in Thailand not a Westernized country.
I would recommend any day and if i ever go back I would be staying here again,

Nice,clean resort. Prices are totally overpriced for drinks etc around the pool.
Other than that it was close to the hum without being directly in it.
Staff were lovely bar the front of house Manager who was far from helpful.

Nice hotel , service not that great (reception areas)pool guys service exceptional, reception staff should take a leaf out of there book ,be aware of upgrades at this hotel we agreed as you would for an upgrade but ended up costing us and extra $120 Aus the room they upgraded us to wasn't much better than the cheaper room no extras included and views were the same, over all had a good time but the hotel front staff not so helpful

An absolutely brilliant resort great for family also for singles

The hotel is apparently celebrating 25 year anniversary and it shows.
The room was small in Thailand standards and definitely not 5 star. The pool is tiny for such a big hotel so if you didn't put a towel on a bed before 9am you would struggle to find a bed at all.
The breakfast was mediocre at best and is not worth it considering there are plenty of options nearby.
The beach is the only bright spot in this review. The beach is fantastic. Beautiful soft sand and clear blue water. Perfect for families with young kids as the water is calm and shallow a fair way in.

A great stay

Just spent a week at Centara Koh Samui. The resort, location, rooms breakfast and service were excellent. Right on the beach with beautiful grounds it is suitable for families, couples, honeymooners and groups of friends. Will return again.

Good beach. The plunge pool water tempreture could have been a bit warmer.
