Lady Elliot Island is brilliant. Great Coral, fish and turtles. Easy to access and surprisingly good food for a very low price. No internet and almost no phone coverage perfect. The way we should always holiday.

Not for everyone with basic accommodation, and no internet-phone-television, but for snorkellers and divers an eco-friendly paradise with great staff!

A beautiful reef island so close for the southern people of Queensland to experience and enjoy nature.

Extremely relaxing loved that I did not have to cook for 5 days. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was to hard for them. I would like to mention Josh, whilst he was excellent with us (grey nomads). We watched him with the children he has the patience of an angel, and the kids absolutely loved the attention he gave them.

This is a great place for relaxing snorkeling and diving.

Especially now, wonderful way the escape the world and enjoy nature to its full.

We had such an amazing 5 nights on Lady Elliot resort. The staff were welcoming from the word go. The scenic flight over and back gave us some spectacular views of Fraser Island and lady elliot island. The resort facilities were always clean. The staff were friendly and informative. As a family of four everyone had something to enjoy. The snorkeling and diving was spectacular. The lagoon was fantastic for young children to enjoy snorkelling safely. The kids were able to swim with turtles. My husband enjoyed the diving. The tours were educational and enjoyable for all ages. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. Overall a fantastic holiday for all.

LEI gave us the most incredibly awesome, fantastic holiday ever.
Everything was perfect!! From the staff to the setting.
The Great Barrier Reef was displayed at its very best.
We snorkeled and swam with turtles, sharks, eagle rays, manta rays, octopus, cuttlefish, groupers, wrasse and infinitely more.
Rescuing cute bubba turtle hatchlings was a highlight.
Words can not describe the wonderful time we had.

Wonderful trip! Friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic view from room which was newly refurbished and very comfortable. Lots of interesting daily activities suitable for everyone. So refreshing to stay at an eco resort that is puts the environment and ecology first. Definitely going back.

Our first visit to LEI and it was amazing. If you are competent snorkelled or a scuba diver it is amazing to be so close to the reef and witness ‘the cast of Finding Nemo’ in their natural habitat. We also saw loggerhead hatchlings released into the water. Accommodation was good and very comfortable. Delicious meals. Friendly staff. Birds can be very noisy during summer -nesting season!

The staff were all extremely knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. I feel that you do need a min of 2 nights. Prices on the island for extras I,e, coffee, drinks, cafe lunch were excellent and in some cases less than what we pay on the mainland.
I would certainly go again.

fantastic place lots to do and see with turtles, mantra rays and all kinds of fish and birds

LEI had been on our bucket list for some time and our holiday didn’t disappoint. From our flight to the amazing staff, the snorkelling, the tours, everything was fantastic. We swam with lots of turtles, sharks and even a manta ray. We saw turtles nesting and hatchlings breaking out of their nest, we can’t wait to go back.

LEI exceeded our expectations. We had a truly memorable time with great snorkelling, excellent activities led by accomplished experts and the unexpected treat of seeing manta rays, giant turtles and their hatchlings, as well as a myriad of fantastic fish, coral and birds, and many beautiful tiny creatures on land and sea.
Our garden unit gave us a splendid view and the food was very good considering it all has to be transported to the island. We have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful place.

We have travelled the world, stayed in various places and we are a fussy family but Lady Elliot ticked all the boxes 10 out of 10! Very nice eco resort, very friendly staff, great food and the snorkling experience was just awesome. We loved it

This was a terrific week. The reef was wonderful and everything about the resort and the service was more than I expected. I'd love to go again and would recommend this holiday to others.

Such a lovely laid back island. Great to be surrounded by so much nature. So many turtles in the water to snorkel with. The staff very passionate about the environment. Thanks to the chef - your food was great. Can't wait to go back - next time out of cyclone season, will need to snorkel with the manta rays.

Excellent 2 night break wish it had been longer. Staff are excellent and very knowledgeable about the Island. They all go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.

Fabulous relaxed holiday.

A fantastic place for anyone who is eco-friendly. I would say that children should be able to swim well as it is not for people who wouldn't like snorkelling.

Booking process was a breeze, thank you, all happened in a few days.

The staff are doing what they can to make this a nice place but an upgrade of the buildings is long over due.

We had a wonderful stay on lady elliot island. We felt realy good at all time. Especially the warm welcome and the good explanations about the island and the way things goes were good. And the flight was a realy cool adventure. We would recommend this for sure.

This was a fabulous vacation and stay. The Great Barrier Reef gets its own credit as unbelievable ocean experience. Lady Elliot gets rave reviews for providing excellent accommodations and facilities. I work in hospitality and have very high standards, Lady Elliot did everything right from the foot washing tub outside the room door to water in the hot water kettle and milk in the mini fridge for morning coffee. The snorkeling equipment met our needs and was easily available. Our only suggestion is that in the evening there be a lecture/program or movie about the Great Barrier Reef or other environmental concerns.

The island was spectacular, there was always something to do so you weren’t sitting around doing nothing. Absolutely perfect weather and great staff

This Island Resort is packed full of waterbased activities. There is no shortage of food and the accommodation, while basic, is clean, well serviced, and comfortable. The staff are just terrific and nothing is too difficult. The educational presentations and island tours make the visit to the reef even more enjoyable. Those into snorkeling and/or diving would probably want at least a four-five day stay. Two days would probably suffice for those only wanting to walk or ride in the vessels.

Beautiful location, the diving and snorkeling was amazing and staff so helpful and friendly. We saw whales daily from the shore and dive boat and could hear them singing underwater. Manta rays, sea turtles, dolphins and so many different fish - so much to see! Would love to go back ????

Fantastic spot - fabulous snorkelling and lovely relaxing atmosphere

We absolutely loved Lady Elliot Island and had the best time ever - even the weather didn't bother us. Accommodation (Garden Suite) was lovely, clean and had a wonderful position. The Island was beautiful and we loved how unspoilt and 'eco' everything was. That's why we booked and it lived up to our expectations - we'll definitely be back.

The flight back from the island arrived several minutes after the Sydney plane's departure requiring us to fill in time staying overnight in Hervey Bay. I cannot see the reason why a 10 am flight from LEI could not be organised. It would allow for earlier pick up of arriving passengers from both Sydney and Brisbane, and assist departing passengers as well. No doubt the matter has been raised before!

One of the best holidays ever - something for everyone - our group age range was 5 - 80 & we all enjoyed.

If you like to snorkel or dive this is the holiday for you. Great food and staff.

This was my second visit, my partner's first and we both left wishing we had spent more time on the island. The staff are knowledgable, helpful and friendly, the environment may not be a posh 5* hotel, BUT, it has everything you need to escape and relax in total comfort. We stayed in a see unit and had the most wonderful view of the lagoon, snorkelled in awe of our surroundings and are saving to go back already.

We only stayed for one night but the two days were full of amazing experiences. We already started saving up for coming back and staying a week.

The best Aussie holiday I've ever had! Everything about this place is amazing. The staff, the water, the animals, the food, the accommodation were all fantastic. We will definitely return!

We all had a wonderful holiday. Snorkeling was fantastic loads of fish big and small beautiful coral saw dolphins, manta rays, reef sharks & turtles. We even managed to see baby turtles making their way to the water. Such a great holiday. We will be back.

Most amazing holiday I have ever had.

To be fair, we were at LEI during the tail end of Cyclone Ita and spent two of our three days indoors reading and sleeping. The location for snorkelling was perfect and we enjoyed the resort as best we could

Wonderful holiday for kids aged 11 and 13. Great Eco experience with the perfect balance of independence. The lagoon out the front was perfect to let our 11 and 13yo explore on their own. While the far side provided a little more adventure. We saw Manta rays, scratched turtles backs, saw turtles hatching and swam 1m from reef sharks. More than we expected.

We had an amazing holiday and didn't want to leave. Can highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings.

We found that not many people in Australia had ever heard about Lady Elliot Island - it is a little secret... we very much enjoyed our stay, thank you all!
