A unique airport, the Gold Coast Airport is Australia's only airport to be in two different states at the one time. With a runway that stretches from Queensland across the border into New South Wales, the Gold Coast Airport is just minutes from the beach and is the gateway to one of Australia's most popular holiday destinations. Having recently undergone extensive re-development, the Gold Coast Airport features a number of duty free stores, contemporary fashion boutiques and a variety of dining options.

All domestic and international flights depart from Terminal 1 and the airport is serviced by a number of national and international air carriers including Air Asia, Air New Zealand, Air North, Jetstar, Qantas, Tiger Airways and Virgin Australia. Virgin and Qantas both also enjoy exclusive club lounge facilities including the Virgin Australia Lounge offering Gold and Platinum Velocity members access to a celebrity chef buffet, barista coffee, premium beer and wine, WiFi and business services as well as news, entertainment and shower facilities. The Qantas Club offers members similar facilities including Apple iMac computers, printing services, a dedicated meeting room and family friendly facilities such as a Sony Playstation.

The Gold Coast Airport also offers excellent parking services, offering the closest airport parking in Australia.
