Fabulous resort

the Resort exceeded our expectations by far. The beautiful grounds & pools were amazing. Loved walking along the paths of an evening with all the trees & gardens dimly lit up.

The staff from management down to the cleaning staff were wonderful.
Will be back again.

Lovely resort in great location

Good location close to town with easy access to beach via lovely gardens. Staff were excellent and buffet breakfast was plentiful and had great variety. Lots of food options onsite which were good value for money if wanting the better dining options, however we mostly ate at the local restaurants/cafes which were cheaper and more authentic. Room was nice and had a great view of pool and resort and beach, although air con could have worked better. Overall we had a lovely stay as a couple, may be a a bit expensive if we took the kids too

great experience

What a great time in Phuket...... movenpick resort did not disappoint, everything was on point from the sumptuous buffet breakfast, to the attention to detail of the room - especially that plunge pool!! Most of all the staff are all beautiful human beings - all are smiling, polite, welcoming, and very accommodating. Looking forward to going back again soon.

I was at the Movenpick twelve months ago and had a very enjoyable stay as I did this time

The staff are all very friendly the rooms are very nice but would be better with an independent shower climbing in and out the bath is not the best when you you are older. Breakfast is very well catered for with ample choices over all it is great place to stay with good location and plenty of options

Not perfect, but a pretty good holiday

We recently arrived home from 2 weeks at the Movenpick Karon Beach. We stayed in one of the beautiful Garden Villas, which allowed us access to the Coconut Pool and also a quieter Breakfast Option down by the beach. We'd recommend upgrading to this option.
The resort is really lovely, large and well set out, well maintained gardens and great facilities. Located right in the heart of Karon Beach, it is a fantastic spot close to everything you needed. There are plenty of restaurants, massage places, shops, and the beach right outside the resort. We spent quite a bit of time in the resort swimming, relaxing and drinking cocktails. They have an included stretch exercise class in the gym most mornings and other daily activities by the main pool.
As we holidayed in off season, the resort was not too busy. I'm not sure how things would go in peak season. I think it would get pretty crazy busy.
The only problem we had was with the A/C in the room. It was old and clunky and we had the have it reset and fixed quite a bit. They ended up offering us a new villa, but we decided to stay as we couldn't be bothered packing up and moving. They seemed to prefer to try and patch up the problem rather than just replace the unit.
The rooms could do with an update (they were doing some villas while we were there) but they are not too bad. Our villa was just off the coconut pool, which was really convenient and quite pretty.

Magical Movenpick

We absolutely loved our stay at the Movenpick. It is a beautiful resort with hectares of perfectly landscaped gardens. The grounds are green, lush and so peaceful. The pool areas are also amazing. The breakfast buffet was fresh and abundant. We could never have lunch as wee were too full. Every day at 3:30 they had a chocolate hour where they served desserts, fondue and other delish desserts. Perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. The location of this resort is perfect. There are so many different restaurants, bars and massage places within walking distance. The beach is right across the road. The staff were all amazing and went out of there way to do whatever they could for us. We highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Our Second Home

We stayed 10 nights at the Movenpick in April 2016 and decided to return to Phuket for a third time and try a different resort. After staying at The Katathani Phuket Beach Resort for 3 nights, we decided to wear a cancellation fee and move to the Movenpick. Why mess with perfection!

Both times we stayed in a Family Suite - 2 Bedroom. They have modern options and also Thai style suites, and the latter is what we prefer. The rooms are massive! Including one King room with an ensuite and outdoor shower, a lounge room with dining table and lounge and a small room with a bunk bed, then another room with 2 doubles and another bathroom with outdoor shower. HUGE! Having a room by the main resort pool would be ideal for those with children.

The food is amazing! We included the meal plan which was breaky, and lunch. Lunch was 2 courses, if you choose dinner it's 3 courses. There are 4 restaurants to choose from, all of which serve the most amazing food. Please try the Green Chicken Curry Pizza at Mint. You receive complimentary water twice per day and they deliver ice to your room in the evening.

At the front of the resort, you turn right, and there are many local restaurants and shops, as well as all the massage places. The first convenience store you come to, does bags of laundry, we used this 3 times and had 6kg and it cost us 285Baht - so $10. Clothes come back perfectly folded and packed and we have never lost an item yet!

We love the Movenpick, it's the perfect location for families and the rooms are amazing! There are also 3 pools to choose from, not including the one that is attached to the residences. Amazing!

A special thanks to Michelle McGregor and Kimberley Sheldrick from Travel Online, who helped us move resorts mid holiday. You guys made it very easy. Thank you.

Nice hotel, great location

We booked 6 nights at Movenpick Karon beach,
Location is 10 out of 10 with lot to explore just outside the hotel.
Service was great, room was always clean, we booked the 2 bedroom beach front residents which was very large.
My only negative comment will be the price of food at the hotel, I bought 1.5L water just outside the hotel for 20B and a 1.25L at the hotel was almost 300B, same apply for fruit shakes and food.
I stayed in many places in Thailand and I understand the hotel is more expensive but I found Movenpick extremely expensive.
So I would highly recommend this hotel for families just we aware for the high price of food at the hotel Vs the same items outside the hotel

A wonderful family holiday

The Movenpick was ideally placed with immediate access to the beach and unlimited dining options. Inside the resort was tranquil and peaceful with the hustle and bustle of street life just outside the gates. Children were warmly welcomed and the residence accomodation was spacious and well positioned. Staff were friendly and helpful even when helping us deal with two sick children.

Beautiful Resort A1 Location

We enjoyed our stay for our honeymoon at the Moevenpick Karon Beach, we stayed in a Penthouse Plungepool Villa, perfect for our stay. There are cheaper resorts out there but Moevenpick was the nicest resort we seen in the area, definitely 5 star. There is an array of dining options onsite & we would have loved to eat at them as 'Karon Beach Square' is a funky & idea pic beachfront location, but pricey in comparison to restaurants outside the resort. Just around the corner in Patak Rd is the best place to eat. Buffet breakfast good, staff are so friendly & grounds are extremely well kept. Pools are generous in size & clean.

We would love to go back with the kids next time. But this will depend on affordability in comparison to neighbouring resorts. Worth the big spend for our honeymoon though.

Great resort in a great location

We stayed in a one bedroom suite as two adults and one child in Jul 16. The resort is great with lots of lush gardens, a couple of pools and plenty of entertainment options at the resort. The location is excellent with the beach outside the front of the resort and a plethora of restaurants and cafes a short stroll away. The only negative points we had was that the bed was quite hard and the lack of consistent water temperature and low water pressure in the shower. Highlights of the resort are the excellent main pool with water slide and swim up bar, the kids club (which our son loved) and the handy location. We'd definitely be happy to stay here again.

Our stay

Great place to stay . Has everything we needed and hotel provided us (a sequester) with a room that had easy access for my elderly dad , to get to pool
And breakfast . Carts to take you around to distant areas great . The breakfast restaurant is very busy especially with many Chinese package tours staying . The flow of breakfast room could be improved as is a bit chaotic . That being said . Food was great with loads of choices . Best croissants I've ever had at a breakfast hotel .

A fantastic place for families

We had a fantastic 9 days, no rain except for the occasional shower, 32 degrees, did plenty of swimming and snorkelling, I even managed to get in 2 boat dives with Sea Fun Dive Shop. My Phuket Holidays were fantastic, especially our driver Mike and a big thank you to Kanny who met with us at the resort and went through what we could do while we were there.

Hotel

The hotel and service was fantastic although the food and drinks were a bit expensive. We found it a lot cheaper to eat at places outside the resort.
