Quicksilver Wavepiecer - Vessel

The sheer power and high speeds of the Quicksilver Wavepiercer offer a quick yet comfortable ride slicing through the waves rather than riding over them. Thanks to a top speed of approximately 30 knots, the vessel covers the 78km from Port Douglas to Agincourt Reef in an hour and a half, leaving you plenty of time to explore this stunning destination.

Agincourt Reef is the destination of the day and is an incredible ribbon reef on the edge of the Australian continental shelf. Home to an amazing array of colourful corals and tropical marine life, the reef is a sheltered anchorage point and offers ideal conditions for swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and semi-submersible coral viewing. There is also a magnificent underwater observatory and viewing platform, fish feeding and the opportunity to enjoy a scenic helicopter flight over the reef.

9.30am: Complimentary morning tea/coffee on boarding. For your safety, hot drinks are not served once the vessel is underway. Passengers are required to be aboard the vessel 15 minutes before departure.

10.00am: Depart The Reef Marina for the Outer Barrier Reef. A Marine Biologist presentation is shown on the vessel monitors 30 minutes after departure. A snorkelling demonstration follows the Marine Biologist presentation.

11.30am: Arrive Outer Barrier Reef - reef activities commence. Enjoy swimming and snorkelling from submerged platforms. Underwater observatory open for coral and fish viewing. Semi-subs depart every fifteen minutes from the rear of the platform. Pre-booked guided snorkelling tours, certified and introductory diving and helicopter scenic flights. Fish feeding conducted at the snorkelling platform at advertised times.

12.00pm: Lunch is served. Enjoy a hot and cold tropical buffet, containing fresh prawns, pastas, meats, salads and fruit. There are full bar facilities available where you can purchase drinks.

1.30pm: Lunch finishes. Time for more activity or just relax and take in the view!!

3.00pm: Depart Agincourt Reef for Port Douglas. Reef video viewing on board.

4.30pm: Arrival at The Reef Marina, Port Douglas.
