By Air: Cairns airport is home to general, domestic and international aviation terminals and is serviced by all major carriers state-wide, nationally and internationally. As the gateway to North Queensland, International visitors can fly direct to Australia via Cairns Airport. Domestic visitors can travel via Qantas, Virgin Australia and local and regional charters regularly from most major cities and towns.

By Rail: Rail is a fantastic way to discover tropical North Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef and with 5 services a week, there's an option to suit everyone. The Tilt Train is a more modern alternative with business class eating throughout and is ideal for switching between coastal centre. The famous Kuranda Scenic Railway also departs from Cairns and offers spectacular scenery.
