Cruising with Great Adventures, this Great Barrier Reef tour is an experience like no other. The high-speed catamaran enjoys comfortable, modern facilities and takes you to the first-class, multi-level pontoon where you can escape into a relaxing world of unsurpassed underwater beauty, home to some of the most colourful marine life and coral gardens on the planet.

The outer reef pontoon provides you with 3 wonderful hours of uninterrupted time where you are free to explore the stunning natural environment as you wish. There is excellent snorkelling and diving opportunities however the pontoon also features an underwater observatory, sun decks and a semi-submarine reef tour. There are change rooms, undercover seating, full bar facilities and a buffet lunch served to ensure you enjoy the day in total comfort.

Itinerary Options

Introductory Scuba Dive: Why not add an introductory dive onto your cruise, which includes a dive briefing and one 30 minute dive with all equipment and wetsuit included. Minimum age is 12 years. Certain medical conditions, medications and height restrictions may preclude some people from participating in optional in-water activities. After a single dive a wait of 12 hours is recommended before ascending to an altitude of 300 meters or greater. If doing multiple dives and interval of 24 hours is suggested.

Getting There

The Great Adventures departs from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. A self-drive option is available, however there are options to add on coach transfers for pick up and drop off from Cairns and Northern Beaches hotels (Palm Cove, Kewarra Beach and Trinity Beach).

Pick up from Northern Beaches is from approximately 6.40am. Please note there is a wait at the Reef Fleet Terminal after being dropped off by the transfer and until the tour departs.

This tour does not operate on Easter Sunday, ANZAC Day 25 April, Christmas Day 25 December and New Years Day 1 January.
