Australian Surf Life Saving Championships: One of the events that beats at the heart of the Gold Coast, the Championships attracts 7,500 plus entrants from around the world to compete in Australia's biggest Surf Lifesaving event.

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show: Asia-Pacific's largest on-water boat show, the Sanctuary Cove International displays plenty of drool-worthy examples of ocean vessels from all around the world with the opportunity to step aboard and dream or even purchase.

Cooly Rocks On Festival at Coolangatta: An authentic tribute to the nostalgia of yesteryear paying homage to 50s rock and roll, Cooly is one of Australia's biggest retro festivals. Held annually in June, the festival features a stellar line up of bands, performers, the shiny chrome of retro cars, dance workshops and more.

Gold Coast Airport Marathon: Dubbed the best marathon event in Australia, every July sees thousands of people sprint, jog or walk their way through one of the world's most scenic marathons. Beginning at the Broadwater, the marathon follows the beach all the way to Surfers Paradise and out to Miami before returning back to the Broadwater.

Gold Coast 600: Motor racing at its high octane best, the annual Gold Coast 600 is held in Surfers Paradise each October. Offering four days and four nights of some of the biggest and best V8 Supercar racing, start your engines for a party just as big and as noisy as the cars themselves.
