A relaxing holiday with local Fijian staff providing friendly caring personal service.
Great place to stay, only the restaurants are a bit expensive and not much choice if you choose to dinning there. Overall good value for money.

We loved our stay at the Hilton Double Tree Sonisali. Even though it was fully booked you would never have know. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We did the buffet nights and menu which were both great and a reasonable price. The pool is large and great to swim in or hang around by. The breakfast included in the price is excellent with so many options.
Staff were so welcoming and happy, which made our week at Double Tree a pleasure.
Rooms are beautiful, with super comfortable beds and great air conditioning. Daily housekeeping was spot on.
It would have been good to have other options for dining as the main restaurant was quite pricy and we didn’t always want a big lunch. It’s a 20 minute (30 FJ$) trip into town so just popping out for dinner isn’t really an option. But it was still great at the restaurant.
Pool was excellent, beaches ok for swimming.
There is always some form of entertainment or singing on the resort, which was lovely. Staff were always happy to help with anything.
Some of the activities advertised were not always available for teens, eg paintballing is only for over 18’s. But there is lots to do for preteens and children.
Some of the main buildings look a bit tired and could do with some maintenance, but overall it is a beautifully situated resort.
The inclusion of transfers to and from the airport was fantastic.
We enjoyed our holiday thoroughly and would definitely go again.

We travelled as a family with three children aged 11, 8 and 6. The package we received from Travel Online was great value. The resort offered plenty to keep the kids occupied including kids club. Food was good although due to the location food options outside of the resort were limited. Not a resort to go to if you want the beach but great pool area. Resort staff are friendly and lovely. We arrived about 8am after an over night flight and check in was not until 3pm however they got us into our room at 9am which we really appreciated. Overall a great family holiday.
Peaceful place to stay
Front desk staff Vikash and Naidu were friendly, professional and very helpful. A big thank you to the concierge team for being always curtious even when it was hectic. Ms Taukei, Maitre D in the dinning room is a professional lady and set the tone and mood of our stay by acknowledging our anniversary on our first night's dinner with champagne, cup cakes and a song dedication from the house musicians. That was memorable. The ladies in housekeeping were thorough with their cleaning and always thoughtful of the time they did our bure (when we were out), thank you. The watersports man was friendly and accommodating. Spa ladies pampered me and I drifted off to sleep during massage. Last but not the least was the young lady at the tour desk who helped us with our rental car booking.

Double Tree was everything we had hoped for. The staff are amazing, too many to name individually, they were all very helpful and attentive. For a new resort there are still a few minor improvements that will be made but overall we had a lovely holiday. Five nights/four days not long enough so next time we will book for longer. Thank you all.

We had been to Sonaisali several years ago and were very much looking forward to going back to see how it had changed under DoubleTree by Hilton.
The resort itself is basically the same in layout but everything was just more modern now. We had a lovely bure which was very spacious had everything we needed - tea & coffee making facilities, fridge for our own drinks, USB points to watch our own shows.
We found the dining options very adequate for a 1-week stay. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate and plenty to choose from to keep you going all day. For dinner you can choose between a la carte in the main restaurant, a la carte at Tuva if you want to dine on the beach, casual dining (e.g. pizzas) in the restaurant, buffet in the main restaurant or room service. As we didn't have lunch I can't comment on what was on offer. Prices for cocktails were much the same as here in Australia and beers were perhaps a little more expensive but that is to be expected at a resort anywhere you go.
From a fitness side, the tennis courts and gym were both great and hardly used by anyone so never a problem there.
You could see every day we were there that they were adding little touches to the resort - table service around the pool in the afternoon for drinks and food, hammocks appearing along the beach which were perfect to watch the sunset from. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful everywhere around the resort.
I really hope that we will be back to visit soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed the proper rest at the wonderful Hilton on its own little island! We had to hire a child minder, as our child was not 3 yet - but it actually worked out in our favour, as the lady has become like a part of our family, and the genuine love and care for children in Fiji overall is unparalleled! The variety of buffet dinners on offer through the week was awesome, and the ever helpful staff deserve a special mention. We will be working hard on trying to come back some time next year, hopefully sooner!

We have recently stayed for 9 nights. Fabulous setting, very relaxing. Wonderful friendly staff. The kids club is amazing - outdoor activities everyday - great for active kids! The menu for food is quite limited and the buffet a bit hit and miss.
