Five stars all the way...
Stay: 12-20 October 2026 | Room 2109
This was our second stay at the Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort, and having just returned from another eight nights, we can honestly say we had a lovely holiday. It's always nice to return somewhere you know, and we were very happy with our choice once again.
Our room
Our room was clean, comfortable and great to come back to, after a day out makes all the difference when you're on holiday. We enjoyed the tropical surroundings and the resort's hillside setting, with its lovely outlook towards Karon Beach. It's a nice place to unwind and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.
The staff
A friendly smile and a welcoming attitude go a long way when you're on holiday, and these are the little things that help make a stay enjoyable. We appreciate the people who work behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, and we thank the team for helping make our return visit a pleasant one.
Pools and facilities
The swimming pools are a real bonus, especially in Phuket's warm weather. There's nothing better than having a swim and then finding somewhere to relax for a while. The resort also has a good range of facilities, including dining, bars, Wi-Fi and laundry services, which all help make your stay that little bit easier.
Breakfast and dining
We always enjoy having breakfast available at the hotel, as it makes getting the day started so much easier. There's also a choice of Thai and European food at the restaurant, while the many restaurants and cafés nearby give you plenty of options if you fancy trying somewhere different in the evening.
Location
For us, the location is one of the best things about this resort. Karon Beach is within walking distance, and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés nearby. You can enjoy the beach, have a wander around the local area or simply take things as they come. It's a good spot for a relaxing Phuket holiday without feeling too far away from everything.
A little something to keep in mind
One thing worth mentioning is that the resort is built on a hillside, so there are quite a few stairs around the property. Guests with walking difficulties, mobility issues, or very young children may find this a little challenging, so it's worth considering when booking.
We are both in our 70s, and we managed perfectly well, but everyone's circumstances are different.
Would we stay again?
Absolutely! This was our second visit, and we've come away with another set of happy holiday memories. We enjoyed our eight nights, found the resort a great base for exploring Karon Beach, and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed stay in this part of Phuket.

Fantastic holiday

Quiet, pleasant, inviting, and impeccable service
The meals in the restaurant were 5 star, service amazing, beautiful cooling pools and surrounding gardens, sparkling clean grounds and rooms, great location, safe and easy walk to beach, shops, restaurants, definitely a 5 star resort!
