This New Zealand day tour departs daily from Manapouri with transfers available from Queenstown.

The tour starts from the town of Manapouri where you will cruise across Lake Manapouri before taking to the road aboard a coach through the Wilmot Pass which is covered in dense rainforest before the glistening Doubtful Sound can be seen. Upon arriving at Doubtful Sound you will embark on a 3 hour cruise through the fiord. During the time speny in Doubtful Sound, you may see a wide variety of wildlife including the rare Fiorland crested penguin, fur seas and bottlenose dolphins. Departs Queenstown: daily at 7.30am and returns at 7.45pm (1 October 2025 - 30 April 2026) OR daily at 6.55am and returns at 7.50pm (1 May - 30 September 2026)

Departs Manapouri: daily at 10.30am and returns at 5.15pm (1 October 2025 - 30 April 2026) OR daily at 10.00am and returns at 4.45pm (1 May - 30 September 2026)

What to Bring: Non-slip shoes/boots, waterproof jacket and warm layers, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, camera, personal medication, a packed lunch (or pre-order from the cafe).
Meals: Additional charge applies, payable direct. The Manapouri Café offers homemade food and Allpress Coffee, where lunch boxes can be pre-ordered. Snacks and drinks are also available onboard.
Note: Manapouri is a 2.5-3 hour drive from Queenstown or 30 minutes from Te Anau. All cruises depart from the Manapouri Visitor Centre. Due to floating wharf access and multiple transport legs, a moderate level of mobility is required
