One of Indonesia's most popular holiday destinations, Bali boasts a fascinating culture, outstanding weather, delicious authentic cuisine, elaborate temples, amazing natural attractions, fantastic surf beaches, discount shopping, affordable accommodation and cheap flights. A favourite among young people and couples, cheap flights from Adelaide to Bali are readily available making it a particularly popular holiday destination with visitors from South Australia and its capital city.
Virgin Australia, Jetstar Garuda Indonesia and Air Asia all offer flights into Bali however there are no direct flights to Bali from Adelaide. Garuda Indonesia is the airline that offers the closest cheap flights from Adelaide to Bali, with flights departing direct from either Melbourne or Perth. Virgin Australia offers direct flights from Brisbane while Jetstar offers flights that depart Brisbane daily and fly to Denpasar via Darwin. Air Asia also offers cheap flights to Bali that depart from the Gold Coast and also feature a stopover in Kuala Lumpur before continuing on to Denpasar. This is a great way to see some of Malaysia before reaching Indonesia.
Located in southern Bali, Ngurah Rai International Airport (or Denpasar International Airport (DPS) as it is more commonly known) is Indonesia's second busiest airport. This airport is where the cheap flights to Bali from Adelaide (ADL) land and it features both international and domestic terminals. There are a total of 17 gates at the airport with the international terminal using 14 of those. The airport is conveniently close to some of Bali's most popular attractions and is just a short drive from Nusa Dua, Sanur and Kuta. There are also a great range of taxi, transfer and car hire options that operate out of the airport however visitors are advised to use pre-pay options when travelling in a taxi to ensure you are using a reputable service provider.
