Nadi International Airport is located on the west coast of Viti Levu, Fiji's main island, and is the gateway to the Fijian Islands. A major regional centre for the South Pacific, the airport is just 10km from central Nadi and 20km from Lautoka. A primary base for Fiji Airways and its subsidiary Pacific Sun, the airport handles approximately 2,250,000 passengers annually. Although Nadi International Airport is Fiji's main airport, it is surprisingly far away from the country's capital Suva, approximately 192km or a 2.5 hour drive.
