Cairns Show

The Cairns Show is Australia’s largest regional show outside of the famous Royal Queensland Show (EKKA) and is held every year in July. Offering 3 full days of entertainment, the family-friendly event provides a variety of entertainment for all ages.

Held just 5 minutes from the centre of the city at the Cairns Showgrounds, over 3 days visitors to the Cairns Show can experience historical displays, local business displays, performing artists, wood chopping competitions, farm and produce exhibits, carnival rides and showbags.

Side Show Alley offers young children and the young at heart a fun park atmosphere fully equipped with all the rides and entertainment you’d expect including dodgem cars and rollercoasters. Originally consisting of just trade and agriculture competitions and exhibitions, the first Cairns Show was held in 1891 and the show has been enticing locals and visitors for decades.
