Friendly staff who greeted you with a smile everyday. Location of our room was perfect, we had a pool side room. Great variety of choice at breakfast. Great choice of places to eat, get a massage and shop outside the resort. Few minor faults: bed and pillows a little too firm. But, this is only minor. Recommend staying here

The resort is located in central Kata so it is close to all conveniences. It is close to Kata beach which is cleaned daily. The area has a vibrant energy. The resort itself has a relaxed and casual feel and is suitable for families and couples. There are organized activities and three swimming pools. The resort staff are friendly and helpful. The resort is older style but the room was comfortable with good air conditioning.
You can use this resort as a base for any day trips you may want to organize.

A 3 star hotel which is fine as we paid 3 star prices. Comfortable rooms with all amenities and a balcony. 3 pools.
Very friendly staff and reasonable but not brilliant food. All you can eat breakfast. Well located near shops, a 7/11with an ATM, massage parlours, laundries, taxis, restaurants and money changers. A free shuttle bus takes you to and from the sea/beach.
Downside. The Wifi is very unreliable and there are 3 stories without any lifts. Thus if you are physically handicapped, I need new knees, ask for a ground floor unit.

Overall, we had a great value for money holiday and if the price is right, I am more than happy to recommend this resort.

i felt the hotel was great, a little aged compared to their photos but still had a great time, the staff are fantastic and did an awesome job. Only criticism would be NO power points in the ensuite and the lack of good lighting. Other than that it was perfect.

Centara Kata Resort is perfect for families (or even couples or groups). There are 3 pools, main one has a built-in bar and they do happy hours 2 for 1 cocktails most days. Able to order resort food at any time of the day. They also have theme nights for dinner e.g., BBQ buffet, Thai buffet etc. - just pre-book your table. Reasonable prices for all you can eat and great variety. Food is fresh and buffet brekky is so yum! The hospitality service team are welcoming, kind and helpful. Particularly loved the atmosphere when supervisor Jaeb was on shift and also the cook Ngek.., all staff are good-hearted people who will look after you 100%. Our rooms were cleaned daily, water / towels given. Can sign-out pool/beach towels to borrow, so don't have to pack your own. Laundry services offered in-house however, cheaper to take your washing to a local biz just outside the resort who do your laundry. Collect the next day. Security on the resort grounds every day/night - very friendly. Reception staff were lovely also, nothing is too much trouble. We found the room pillows a bit too puffy-high for us, so they brought in a couple lower ones to make sure we slept well. Local Dr and Pharmacy are a close walk from resort approx 200mtrs. Taxi's at the front of resort entry. Also, the resort has a free shuttle service regularly taking guests to the beach & pick-up/return. Tours can be booked at hotel reception or outside the resort (plenty of tour operators to choose from). Lots of food options within a short walk and the 7/11 stores (and ATM's) are just outside the resort, to buy sim cards, snacks, personal items, panadol, alcohol & pretty much anything. Resort gym was great, clean & tidy. Didn't see much of kid's club but overheard they have a good time. Resort had physical exercise classes in the pool on certain days too, free to join in. If you prefer a bit quieter in your room during the day, recommend staying towards the front of the resort or at the very rear. Closer to the restaurant/main pool is more convenient to access these areas however, you do hear the pool music & people walking/talking during the day - if you're staying in. Overall, the resort met all our needs for a family holiday.

Had 7 wonderful nights, large room, wonderful selection at breakfast every day. Meal and drink costs were also very reasonable at the hotel. Plenty of choices close by. Beach was an easy 10 minute walk or you could take the shuttle. Would return without hesitation.

We totally enjoyed our stay. The facilities were excellent, however the staff were the greatest asset to the resort. All staff were outstanding but Wut and Pancake stood out, their smiles and desire to always please we're exemplary.

Wonderful location. Staff went above and beyond.

My wife and I have just returned home from 9 nights at Centara Kata Beach Phuket. We had a pool access at the rear of the property by the third and smallest pool. It was at the quiet end of the resort (room 8301) and was in our view the best location if you wanted a quiet, generally child free, environment. The staff in this resort are very friendly, the breakfast had a very good selection which changed regularly and was tasty. The only slight complaint (I made a comment to the Manager) was the food could have been a bit hotter. The resort was well kept and our room had recently been refurbished. We have travelled a lot and felt this resort was one of the better ones we have stayed at, particularly given the price through Travelonline was very good.

It was the best holiday we have had the people were so helpful and so friendly i would recommend this to everyone

Great place to stay for families with kids or couples.

We stayed at Centara Kata for 8 nights. The room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only down side was that our room was located right next to where work was being done on upgrading one of the pools. Luckily, this really only effected our last day. Would have been ideal to have the rooms we did located close to one of the adult pools, but perhaps the style room was not available elsewhere. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Lots of great little places to eat, have a massage and visit the night market, and 10 mins walk to the beach.

We loved our 10 night stay at Centara Kata Resort. The breakfast was fantastic and loved the daily happy hours. Deposit was a bit of a shock but used that money by spending at the resort anyway. Plenty of cheap food options nearby. Realistically it’s 1.5 hours from airport.

Had 2 double beds would have preferred king bed
We are centara silver members and didn’t receive flip flops robes or bag to use during our stay
Organised surprise bday cake for my husband and request was finalised one day before and it didn’t arrive
Very disappointing but further talks finally got cake

The resort was overall good, rooms were clean and include extras like umbrellas etc. breakfast buffet and in house dining was very good , location is decent halfway between phuket town and Patong about 500 baht to get to both, however the reception staff were very rude espically the reception manager who didnt even apololgise for preparing the rooms late but the dining and house keeping staff were very nice, great for families

The facilities at Centara Kata Resort were fantastic. Location is only a short walk to beach or a free shuttle service is available. Close walk to local restaurants and tourist shopping. Service from staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautuful people, clean and great facilities... Loved our 2 brm suite perfect for us with 2 kids.

Had our first Thailand holiday and I can highly recommend Centara Kata Beach resort.
We had the 2 x bedroom suite which was fantastic with a beautiful large patio leading out to the main pool.
The staff were just amazing and were always looking to ensure we were conformable and enjoying our stay.
The resort it self is ideally located with numerous bar , restaurants and convenience stores close by.
We loved our stay so much we have already booked our next holiday with Centara Kata Beach Resort.

We met so many nice families & couples & it's made us want to come back with our grandkids or just come back with our partners. Loved staying there but there was one thing, wish the pool didnt close at 7pm should be later. & wish we were abit closer to patong but we really loved it, Centara Kata Resort really look after you. Very comfortable resort! I m glad we upgraded to a suite because it gave us more room to spread out! Our stay was during the Low Season but that didn’t worry us at all, still some fine weather and plenty to do including relaxing near the pool.

Centara Kata was just wonderful had our 2 grandsons and a friends little girl with us and the facilities were just great for all ages. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would go back and stay there again with or without kids.

we went om a package deal and the resort was beautiful. relaxing and very welcoming. Everything at your fingertips. Loved it so much we will be returning here once a year

We loved the pool and huge 2 bedroom place. Only issue was at ground floor you are woken every morning abd I mean every morning at 6.30 am by cleaners cleaning the pool. Can hear every noise upstairs as well. Staff very friendly and breakfast was amazing.

Recently stayed for 8 nights with our 2 children 5 and 11. Pool with slide was the highlight of the resort for the kids. Rooms a little outdated and in need of some love, but for a good price like we got it was a good little escape.

We had a great stay at centara Kata. Great location, easy to get around , staff and locals extremely friendly and polite. Beach is just walking distance. Loved it. Wished we stayed longer.

We had a 2 bedroom accommodation which was great size. Had a bathroom within each bedroom and a separate living/ lounge area. Great for families or to share.
Staff were all lovely. Location was great to walk for restaurants and shopping. Beach was 10 minute walk or 2 minutes in a tuktuk (taxi).
Main pool was great for adults and children alike with spa, waterside and swim up bar.
Overall a fantastic holiday.

Everything went to plan at the hotel. The staff were really friendly and the food was very good. If Been a small bit critical the menu was limited and didn't change of the duration of our stay - 2 weeks. Saying that there was plenty of alternatives within 10 minute walk. The 2 pools were great for the kids. W had a hire car so did loads of exploring on the island.

The staff were awesome, helpful and very accommodating to us and our children. The buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day and the swim up bar was a massive hit with Mums and Children. Would recommend this resort to any family for sure.

This resort is value for money. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was very clean and loads of room. Our children got very sick and we had to call housekeeping in the middle of the night to help us. They were there in minutes and supported us beautifully in cleaning up and making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Pools are lovely and breakfast was nice. Really great family holiday and a fantastic price.

Goid location, friendly staff and affordable. The negatives were housekeeping hardly stocked anything back up or cleaned that well. Plus the room hardly had hot water at all.
Our room was right near the pool bar and restaurant which was loud with music in the afternoon. That aside we enjoyed our stat and the kids loved it. Relaxed happy staff and a good vibe.

Thanks for the best holiday ever, cooking class was the highlight. best resort ever. We will definitely come back.

Great resort this is our 6th stay at this hotel and we love it ....great value for money , good choices of rest restaurants, massages shopping and 7 11 supermarkets .See you next year

We had a fantastic holiday for two weeks with another family, they were accomodating and we had spacious rooms side by side. Great clean facilities and lots of activities for kids with staff involved. Close to lots of restaurants and easy walking distance to beach (our 5yr old did it without whinging). Great value using their bonanza deal we usually had lunches at the resort if we were around and it made it stress free when kids ordered at the swim up bar every day. Breakfast was always fresh right up until 10am and clean, staff are very attentive and friendly. Also very safe with 24hr security, we would definitely use this resort again and we had a fantastic holiday.

Everything was very good. Only negative was that because it was a less busy time for the resort many of the activities e.g. pool party were very low key, only partly functioning or not running at all. Also accom near the main pool (on any floor) is very central BUT very noisy all day and into the evening.

I stayed in the Centara Kata Resort in August 2016 in the off-peak season.
The room was spacious, clean and tidy. There were plenty of facilities such as two pools, gym (not used at all !) and child club. However, the dining experience in the hotel was poor on the last night. The kids were burnt, pizza undercooked and our thai meals were bland. We only decided to eat there to used up all of out hotel credits. There are better options to eat outside the hotel such as eightfold (almost directly opposite the hotel), Sawasdee - fine dining Thai, (turn left outside the hotel and 5 minutes walk, sets are AUD $25 5 course meal and too many others to mention. It is fairly safe to eat the food in the markets outside. However, ensure the food is cook in front of you.

This is the 5th time we have stay and we will be going back next year ... Great place for families to stay ....3 pools and kids club .... massage places ,supermarkets and eating places are only 5mins from hotel .You must eat at a place called Eight Fold ...the best food in Kata Beach.

We realy enjoyed out time here. Air-conditioning is perfect, room nice and clean, great breakfast. Request a room away from the drive way as it is quite noisy from all the buses. Would return here.

Had a good time, hotel lovely, staff helpful, would go there again. Morning breakfast was ok, but no variety, same things every morning. Gym at the resort excellent facility.

Centara was a good place to stay - better for families. We had a pool side room on the 3rd floor which was a hike! So if you are unable to climb stairs make sure you get a room on a lower floor. The room was noisy during the day because of the kids pool. So siesta time in our room was harder. Walking distance to everything - restaurants, shops and the beach. Overall a good place to stay.

Beautiful staff and great for famillies

We had a great time at Centara Kata Beach. The quiet pool at our end of the complex was lovely. Rooms spacious and more than adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. We only had one small whinge about the windows that were a little loose and made some noise when the wind came up. Apart from that very relaxing and well placed and only ten minute walk to the beach. Hotel also had hourly shuttles to the beach in morning.

This was an excellent resort with lovely, friendly staff. Lots to do and see, reasonably priced with immaculate pools.
A real pleasure to stay and would definitely stay here again.

Love Centara Kata. Great service, reasonable pricing of good food and drinks. Good family area for kids and separate quiet area for oldies like us. They have thought of everyone.

Just returned from 14 nights stay at centara kata resort . The resort exceeded our expectations. We stayed in deluxe room which was a good size with everything we needed. Toiletries were replaced as used for the whole 14 days. Breakfast buffet had a great range of food with egg chef. Staff were all very helpful and very friendly going above and beyond to help. The pool was excellent with added bonus of swim up bar and daily happy hour! Snacks at pool bar were tasty and reasonably priced. An excellent affordable resort that exceeds expectations for the price that was paid. Will definitely stay there again.

Centara Kata was fantastic, staff so friendly and helpful, rooms clean and well maintained, facilities and food great and terrific location. We easily walked to local shops and restaurants and then back to the seclusion of the resort. We loved our stay.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Our children 2, 4, and 8 loved the resort pool and slide. The staff were lovely and they went out of their way to assist with every request we had. the location was also great - 7-11 just outside the hotel as well as shops, currency exchange, and places to have washing done. Our room was very spacious - we had the one bedroom suite and it was very generous, which was a pleasant surprise with 3 kids (not that they were out of the pool long enough to be in the room). The kids club was really great and suited my 4 year old daughter to a tee. They did lots of craft and some really creative activities that she had never done before. Overall the holiday was amazing mostly due to this hotel and the staff and how well we were looked after. Planning the next holiday now!

We had a very enjoyable time

We had a great time staying at Centara Kata. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was great, lots of places to eat out. Kata beach was laid back, clean and friendly , especially compared to busier places like Patong and Phuket. The restaurants in the resort were both good value and had a tasty menu, while the service staff couldn't do enough to help out. Cocktails at the bar were yummy and the pool facilities were just what a family needs.

2 bedroom is huge, great for a long stay! Location was very good, close to lots of restaurants and shops.

We preferred the rooms near the Wave pool as the bigger pool was full of young families and it was very noisy.

Absolutely loved the gardens (even if they attracted the mozzies), they were very pretty and lush providing lots of privacy.
The pools were gorgeous and having 2 (3rd adults only) to choose from was great as we followed the shade.

Rooms are good value for money. Pity the 1 bedrooms were booked out as we would of preferred more space. Didnt sleep too well with the hard beds, but hard beds seem to be the norm for Thailand. Glasses and Cups seemed to be rinsed and not replaced with clean ones, as they were left wet and upturned when room cleaned.

Kids club could of been a bit better. Only opening at 10 and then closing at 12-1 to open again to 5. Not much organised activities and they found it boring and didnt really want to go which was fine as they came away eaten alive by mozzies.

Staff are friendly (especially the security guards) and very helpful at reception especially organising a taxi through the hotel to take us and our sick daughter to the hospital.

Best of all was the location. Quiet street but still with plenty of restaurants, shops, massages, pharmacy, 7Eleven and tuk tuk/taxi. A great market around the corner. New shopping centre opening in a month next door will be good, especially the proposed coffee shop.

Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and were a bit sad to leave.

Overall we were very happy with the Resort. Grounds and room upkeep was very good. All services required were addressed without issue. We would recommend this to other families. Very relaxed atmosphere.
