We find the location to be very good as it's not far from markets, eateries, bars and the beach. Also a relatively short walk to Bangla Rd.

I booked a swimout room for myself and friend, and requested twin beds as we were two older ladies. We arrived hot, tired and sweaty to one King sized bed. They had to bring in a rollaway bed which decreased to room size markedly. Apparently they do not have single beds in their swimout rooms, which we were never informed about. Apart from this, Hotel is superb, excellent service, location, staff, 5 pools, wonderful breakfast, would stay again.

Special shout out to Elliot Gould Director of operations he was super friendly very efficient and helps out all the staff especially at breakfast.The food was exceptional at breakfast and also around the pool and dining areas.
The hotel has been renovated and the rooms are spacious and super nice.
Lots of activities at the hotel that I participated in water aerobics was one of them and yoga once again great staff that took these classes

Enjoyed our visit, will be returning, making sure next visit we are facing main pool areas, amazing attentive service at the breakfast sessions with AOF he was welcoming every morning remembering our special needs he is a credit to Courtyard and himself , he will go a long way very understanding caring young man, looking forward to seeing him next year, only issue I had was at dinner there 1 night , soup had on ticket chicken , coconut milk , thought great something I can have as have allergies from peanuts, mushrooms and other thing I am unable to eat so have to be very careful, having the soup I thought something felt really odd so put it back on my spoon from my mouth asked what it was, it was a mushroom, I went to the meals staff as the ticket didn't say it had mushrooms, I advised them the risk it can have on people ,they took the sign returned it in around 10 minutes advised sorry do better next time, be great if more staff understood more English.

We have only just returned and absolutely loved it. Renovations continue, however you do not hear anything. The staff are very friendly, kind and attentive. Our room attendants left our room perfectly spotless with nice little gestures and messages on our mirror or towel elephant with fresh flowers.
Breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, an extensive selection and always fresh and plentiful. Staff are very happy to help and quickly clean any dirty dishes/utensils from your table.
The pools and pool bar are very relaxing and you feel a world away from the hustle & bustle outside of the resort.
The resort is very central to many markets, fabulous restaurants and opposite the beach. Bangla road is an easy 10 minute walk away.
Our only negative is not with the actual resort, but with a large group of guests travelling together who have their doors ajar with the room lock. They entered in and out constantly until 11pm at night and start again at 6am. The doors continually bang loudly keeping us awake and then waking us up early.
Would highly recommend this resort to couples and families.

Fantastic holiday and great place to stay for our first trip to Phuket. Great location with beach across the road and 4 pools to use. Close to all the nightlife action and shopping. They accommodated all our requests and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. All the staff were very helpful.
Had a great stay, customer service was exceptional, however breakfast buffet was crowded, not sure how it will be when other half of hotel is open

Very nice place and clean would stay again. Staff need more training in the English language. Unfortunately thats all through Patong. They cancelled the 50+ staff and replaced them with the young, which is fine but they dont understand you.

Throughly enjoyed our visit room was great staff so friendly we only ate breakfast which was included in our package couldn't fault it buffet style with plenty of options to fill up for a start to the day. Only a short 10-15 minute walk to Bangla road. Pools were great and service at the swim up bar was amazing.If you leave via the back entrance the beach is across the road plenty of food options on way to Bangla road if you leave via front entrance a short walk you will find more food options both roads have laneways they will lead you to more and more of everything. They are renovating the rear rooms at the beach end but in no way did that impact our holiday will definitely stay again.
Have previously stayed there under Patong Merlin, Marriott has certainly improved the image and quality of the resort. I definitely will stay there for future visits

The pools were fantastic. Lots of sun lounges available without having to "save one" . The newly renovated kids pool is exceptional. The only little negative was the step up and down in the bathroom was a little dangerous for the elderly who were travelling with us. We put an extra bathroom slip mat on the outside and that helped a lot. The staff were amazing and always willing to assist with any request. We were also allowed a later checkout which helped us enormously. This is an excellent hotel for families and couples alike.
Absolute perfect location for families, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The pool facilities are perfect for kids as adults. Hotel is located across the road from the beach, so morning beach fun, cross the road and eat lunch and head back to the hotel pool to wear the kids out a little more for an afternoon nap. The hotel is also located about 10mins walk down from Bangla road which is a skip for adults but far enough to jump in an open taxi van for the kids.
Hotel is surrounded by markets that are within walking distance, include breakfast in your package to save some $$$. Although food (lunch and dinner) and things like laundry are available at the hotel I wouldn't recommend the extra money that it will cost you, that money is better spent on your family outings. The would also look out for hotel food deals that state 600BHT++ - the ++ will boost your cost as it includes taxes and other charges (usually written in small print) although probably a fair cost, it does come at a surprise if your budgeting your holiday with a family.
Overall I would find it difficult to stay at another resort as the Courtyard Marriott ticks all the boxes for a family.
I love everything about this hotel. The staff, location, rooms, food, pools, price. Its sad that a lot of the fantastic staff won't be returning after it is rebranded - staff are what make a hotel. Lets hope prices don't go up with the name change too!

The Patong Merlin is an excellent venue. Rooms were clean and comfortable, grounds well maintained and clean and pools just right. One hint...get a room away from the main road where the Hard Rock Cafe is. They have LOUD live bands playing EVERY night till about 2.00am. Didn't really bother me but certainly would others. Daily breakfast was excellent and drinks and meals at the hotel very reasonable. Staff were friendly and attentive. I'll stay there again.

Our rooms were next door to each other as requested, and the rooms were large, neat and clean. The staff were very friendly and the daily buffet breakfast was amazing - catering to everyone's needs. So many options to choose from. The four pools were cleaned everyday and the swim up pool bar was very good, you could choose from soft drinks, beer, mocktails and cocktails. The poolside service was quick and the food and drinks we ordered was delivered hot and fresh to us when we had a quiet poolside day. They are located opposite the Otop Markets and street food. We couldn't hear any sounds from the busy outside world as we had an internal Superior Pool View Room. I would thoroughly recommend the Patong Merlin Hotel to everyone!

Patong Merlin Hotel is perfectly located opposite the beach and close to restaurants, shops and market stalls. The grounds are beautiful with 4 large pools and glorious tropical gardens. The breakfast has a great selecton and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I would definitey recommend Patong Merlin not only for couples but as a great family hotel.

The location is perfect, right opposite the beach and close to many restaurants, markets and shops. The hotel itself is very well set out with 4 large swimming pools which are set in beautiful tropical gardens. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection to choose from. The staff are friendly, helpful and always ready to assist. I would highly recommend the Patong Merlin Hotel to not only couples but as a family friendly hotel

Best location! Walk right on to Patong beach on one side of the hotel and on the other side you’ve got all the bars n street food markets going on. Not to far from Bangla Rd, but far enough so that you don’t hear all the chaos.

Patong Merlin are excellent in our view. The gardens at the hotel are beautiful with the property covering approximately 10 acres in size. Four large pools are available two of which have swim up pool bars. A good hearty breakfast is available every day, including three egg stations. Staff look after us very well. The Sunset Bar at the beach end of the property is a great place to relax and enjoy happy hour each day. Close to nearby restaurants and bars the hotel has a fantastic location in Patong. Recommended.
Our 10th stay at Patong merlin and I think it’s perfect.. 4 pools 2 with swim up bars. Breakfast has a lot of variety. Close to everything. Walk 5 mins to be on Bangla road where it is busy busy. Over the road is otop lots of shopping and bars.. I always say it’s close enough to everything but far enough away your not in the middle of it all.. fantastic for kids. Staff are ALWAYS wonderful and helpful. 5+
The hotel is in a great location and the staff that do the food and beverage services are fantastic. Some of the check in staff give you the impression that they don't like their jobs. They are rude sour and just not a joy to deal with. But this would not stop me going back to this hotel and the majority of the staff and the hotel its self are awesome.

Check in was a bit clunky and the free WiFi doesn't work in the rooms at all, didn't in ours anyway, but apart from that it's a great place to stay. Pools and gardens are beautiful and Patong Beach just across the road. Room was clean and spacious and bed was to die for! Restaurants and bars also very good and staff are friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.
We always stay at the Patong Merlin and love it because it's easy. The staff are great, it has 4 swimming pools so there are plenty of lounges for everyone and it's at the southern end of Patong Beach so it's quiet but still close enough to walk to Bangla Road, Jung Ceylon and the central Patong area. The O-Top market and plenty of convenience stores are across the street from the front of the hotel. The beach is over the street at the back of the hotel and plenty of convenience stores and retailers line both streets, front and back.
The buffet breakfast is substantial with a good offer, pool side food and beverage offers are also tasty and plentiful. The hotel offers a buffet dinner option nightly. There are plenty of quick and easy eating options along the streets surrounding the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the air con is good and most rooms have a balcony with a couple of chairs to allow you to overlook the pools and greenery across the hotel grounds.
The grounds were beautiful and the pools were spectacular. Great food and service. Great place to stay in every way.

I have stayed at the Patong Merlin 7 times. We love the size of the rooms, breakfast, it has 4 pools, closeness to markets and shopping district as well as the entertainment at night. No need to catch tuk tuks. Enjoy happy hour at the Sunset bar opposite the beach. The outer is dated but recently renovated in the rooms.
The Merlin is located near the beach but thankfully a reasonable distance from the noise and bustle of Bangla Road. The rooms are quite old but clean and well maintained. The four pools on site and lovely surrounding gardens are nice. We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend the property to others.
Accomodarion was great. Breakfast was good however the restaurant was expensive and meals cold. Better to eat out

The only down side to this place is meals in the restaurant are expensive especially feeding a family if 5 pool side meals are great value for money.
Our stay @ Patong Merlin Hotel was a lovely relaxing time. Although our room looked out to another hotel is was still a good room, cleaned daily by friendly room cleaning staff. The air-con was quite noisy but thankfully it wasn't so hot that we needed it on all the time. The hotel layout is great with lots of clean swimming pools and friendly poolside service. If you time it right, you can spend the afternoon & evening moving to the bars that offer happy hour two for one drinks :-) I recommend the Mojito cocktail and the Chang beers were always delivered cold.
Breakfast was included and ran until 10.30 every morning with a good variety and new dishes to choose fresh from everyday.
The hotel was located between the main street and the beach and was quiet yet only a step out to the front or back for either. Sadly, the beach is very dirty with lots of plastic rubbish and cigarette butts so we chose the hotel pools. Next to the hotel is the Hard Rock Cafe with live music every night and further up the street you can find many good Thai restaurants including a food night market.
The hotel boasts a variety of dining options and a seafood buffet and other options every night.
Free wifi all over the hotel made it easy to keep up to date with everyday emails etc.
Overall a great place to stay with friendly staff. Sopa enhanced our poolside sessions with her great sense of humour and Suriya was an especially friendly young man. (Tell him John Connor says hello!) (And I'll be baaack!)
The service was great, the only thing that let it done was it was difficult to actually purchase the hotel dining packages and getting package discount on hotel drinks.

Good hotel & staff and location to OTOP markets & bars. Only issue was the drainage in the bathroom which was poor.
Only complaint is there is a - no reserve- for lounges around the pools yet early each day all the lounges at all pools have towels on the and a book or hat yet no one is around till late afternoon. Clearly the staff can see no one is around and the people who are there like me are sitting in the hot sun on there towels as all the chairs are taken by towels without people. I think the staff should monitor and ask who is sitting there and if no one around for over an hour they should remove the towels ect to let people who are there have a seat by the pool.
This is my 3rd stay at this place. I have never had any bad experiences there. Location great, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms always clean especially bathrooms which are really important to me.
I would recommend this place to all.

Great location for central Patong. Close to main areas yet in quiet location. All rooms essentially the same but we had a great room overlooking the pools. Bed comfortable (pillows need replacing). Air conditioning a bit cold but definitely better than being too hot! Breakfast was excellent, although no green tea! Staff always attentive, although some reception staff came across as a bit grumpy and rigid.

Great location close to beach, shops and restaurants. Rooms were great had a family standard for 2 adults 3 kids with plenty of room for all of us. Pools were good. Breakfast ok some days there was a good variety other days not much that we liked. Egg station always good though. Pastries are a little chewy rather than crispy most days and muffins were good but the first fivish days were the same flavour which happened to be one that none of us liked.
This is our second stay at Patong Merlin - great menu options in the resort however the location offers a huge selection of restaurants, cafes etc.
Location is within walking distance to markets, Bangla Road and so accessible by the front and the back of the hotel. Employees are great - service is impeccable - very accommodating!!

Thank you to the staff at the Patong Merlin, you made our stay super comfortable and relaxing. The rooms, pools eating areas where spotlessly clean and everyone was extremely friendly. We will definitely stay here again when heading to Phuket.
The one negative is that the hotel room was very noisy, doors banging, children running and talking in the passageway late at night which can be clearly heard in room with the door closed making it hard to sleep. Hotel needs to soundproof rooms from the passage to eliminate passing noise.
This was my 4th stay at the Patong Merlin. The resort is always clean and staff friendly and helpful. It was a bit disappointing that there were major renovations being carried out to pool number 2 during our stay, although we were advice of this prior. Would recommend this resort to friends and family.

Love this hotel from the reception desk to the housemaids everyone is really friendly and helpful. My husband and I have used this hotel many times and absolutely love it. We had a buffet meal this time at the front of the hotel and it was amazing. One of the pools is being renovated at the moment but there was hardly any noise. I would highly recommend it

Happy hour at different times/venues attached to the hotel, the buffet breakfast caters for all tastes with an abundant assortment of foods, the daily buffet dinner at the restaurant is excellent with quality and variety exceeding that of a much advertised tourist attraction by miles. The pools are sparkling clean, the staffing is excellent. Beach and shops are literally on the doorstep and free transfers to phuket city and back run twice daily.

We had a great first time in thailand,the position of the hotel was perfect central to everything. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and warm and lovely especially our room service lady. The only let down for the hotel was the TV channels,you only had one movie channel and you watched that movie 3-4 times no kids channe, overall no choice in what to watch. In saying that we had an amazing first family overseas holiday and have made great memories.

We enjoyed the stay. The rooms were comfortable and the room service good. The breakfast was widely catering for all and was excellent. Only point of contention for me was paying $12 for a lost room key card - way over the top, which lead me to quaetion the costs of the balance of the services.
Have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and keep coming back. The location is ideal, opposite the beach close to shops, bars and restaurants and the pools and grounds are fabulous. Breakfast has a wide range of choice and the staff are helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel

We just returned home after staying in a pool access room from 12 April to 27 April. We have been to Thailand a few times so we had seen most of the tourist sites. So wanted a nice hotel to stay at to hang around the pool. The room was perfect for us. The pools were all very clean and plenty of sunbeds. We were so excited about the swim up bar and swam up and asked for 2 mojitos but we're told only smoothies by the bar tender. But on a few occasions we did see him serving beers and non smoothies to other guests. The smoothies were not very nice but the bar lunch was great. This pushed us to go out to the 7/11 and buy our own drinks and make them in our room. So maybe they need to rethink that service. I do know all the guests I spoke to all did the same. A big loss of revenue to the hotel. We ate all our meals in the hotel. The dinning room was empty most days we were the only 2 in there. (Low season) which really surprised us because the food was so well presented and delicious. We never had a bad meal our whole stay. Saying that I do believe it may be a bit expensive if you are more than 2 People the bill could end up being a bit steep. Breakfast was great with a large variety of food to choose from. Unlike most hotels we have stayed at breakfast was always nice and hot. The location is perfect, close enough to walk to town centre and far enough away to have peace and quiet. House keeping was so good, the room was spotless our entire stay. Natikka (house keeper) was friendly, kind,always smilling and a credit to your company. Check in was hassle free and no dramas. I would highly recommend the pool access rooms if you intend to stay around the hotel. The spa was too pricey for me, but just around the corner at Meir Jarr hotel they have a beautiful spa with reasonable prices which I attended every day for different treatments over the two weeks. So maybe they should make there prices a bit more reasonable so guest will use their facilities.
Loved the resort, so close to top markets, Bangla road and beach. Included spa package was great and tour guides were very helpful.

This complex is central to Phuket, making shopping with small children easier than some locations. Hotel staff are pleasant and happy to assist. Food is very typical of hotels in the area. However, if you require other choices, many restaurants may be found within a short walk. If you need to top up supplies, there are numerous 7-11's nearby and, Juncelong supermart is about a ten minute walk. You may need to take a Tuk-Tuk back to the hotel. At around 200 Baht carrying water & groceries, that's a good option.

Location was excellant..near otop..grounds of hotel were lovely green lush gardens..the pools were large..plenty of seating areas..would recommend for families as well as couples..would stay again.

Merlin Patong is a great place to stay with friendly staff. Everything you need can be provided by the resort. You are walking distance to local facilities. It is very clean. Suitable for families and couples with plenty of room with 4 pools, several eating and drinking options. Will definitely return.
I would recommend Patong Merlin as it is in a great spot across from the beach, adjacent to OTOP markets for cheap eats & markets. Lovely pools & beautiful gardens. Breakfast was good & happy hour cocktails yum & great value.
We requested ground floor interconnecting as we are a family of 5 & were given what we asked for. The rooms were in a block near reception, interconnecting - 5106/5107 - 3 singles in one room , king bed in the other room
Overall I wouldn't stay in Patong again as it wasn't for us but if you like Patong it would be in a perfect spot.

This hotel is amazing, from the moment you arrive to the minute you leave. The staff are so friendly, and will go out of their way to help you. The rooms are fantastic and spacious clean and modern. The grounds of the hotel are so clean and well maintained. Location is A1..walk out the front and you are on a main shopping strip with a popular market (OTOP) across the road, Hard rock Cafe next door and Hooters right next to that. Walk out the back entrance of the hotel and you are at the beach. Shopping is all within walking distance, and Bangla Rd just a 10 minute walk away. The buffet breakfast was amazing, so much variety to choose from and the restaurants on site did not disappoint at all.The price and quality of their food is fantastic. The pools are so clean and crystal clear , you really do feel like you are in paradise when you stay here. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Very family friendly hotel. This is why we keep coming back.
We arrived early to mid morning and our room was ready so we checked in and changed into summer gear and headed straight for the pool ( biggest decision was what one to pick - there are 4 decent pools at the hotel everyone as great as the other.
Breakfast was great with always plenty to choose from and as much as you like.
Hard Rock Cafe is next door but there are some really nice restaurants only a short walk from the hotel - Two chefs was our favourite !!

Great hotel close to restaurants, beach & shopping. Rooms spacious & clean, staff friendly & helpful. Grounds & pools maintained every day. The breakfast was great. Very relaxing time had by all our family we will stay here again as great value. Only minus we would have dined in the hotel more only that with a family of 6 it was a lot more expensive than dining out.
This hotel is good value for the price. Food was good. Rooms are good although the air conditioner was so noisy that it had to be turned off during the night as we could not sleep with the noise and we had the same comments from other guests. Wi Fi is very reliable and easy to use. Pools are great and the location is hard to beat. If it is pampering you require, go somewhere else.

Patong Merlin was absolutely fabulous. The staff were so welcoming they made us feel like a priority from the moment we arrived until our departure. We found no complaints with this hotel, the food was amazing and we were overwhelmed with everything they had to offer. We are already planing our next visit there for next year and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering to stay here.
The hotel was huge with 3 separate pools, cafe, restaurant, buffet dinner on the beach side of the hotel 3 nights a week, spa for massages, gym, plenty of room poolside for lots of visitors, pool bar for convenient meals. We were greeted with a cold wet washer and refreshing drink when we arrived, and the staff greeted us very warmly. All staff were very friendly and courteous. Overall, I couldn't fault the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.
Far enough away to be quiet but within easy walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service is excellent. A good variety for breakast and evening meals are also available if you don't want to go out. The pools and gardens are fabulous and you just can't fault these areas at all. However, there are parts of the hotel, especially the corridor areas, which are in need of an uplift. The rooms are adequate but do need additional drawer space in the wardrobe. This was our second time at the Patong Merlin and I would choose this hotel again if I was returning to Patong Beach for a holiday.
I stayed there for to weeks, the hotel was in a great location and clean the only issue I had was we were unable to get internet in our room even after notifying staff everyday. Staff had a lot of trouble understanding me. Other than these things I did enjoy my stay
we stayed here 25 years ago and just spent a few more days here this week - its still as fantastic as ever.The rooms are clean, staff af riendly pool is good but some items in need of repair. Patong has changed a lot with at least 1000 bars restaurants and massage parlours in a 2km walk. Low season is awesome with plenty of room around the pool and weather still hot with more chance of afternoon rain. Great deals from travelonline cannot be beaten

Stayed for 11 nights during low season. Had 4 quiet and beautiful pools to choose from and was serene in lush surroundings. Stone throw to beach and bars/restaurants, massage places all on doorstep. Bus stop out back and taxis readily available. Room was cleaned daily and was spacious and modern with a pool view balcony. Food was nice but staff little bit slow with delivery sometimes. As travelling with older child only suggestion would possibly be more pool activities .Excellent stay in a great location would highly recommend.
Hotel is in a great location central to beach shops dining drinking people are friendly beautiful pools and gardens at the hotel very clean and well maintained my only issue is the front desk staff, dining and bar staff have very poor English made asking for things difficult

Everything from the breakfast, room to location was great. Beach at one end of the motel with great shopping at the other end. If you wanted neither there were a few pools to choose from.

The place is in a good location but the rooms are so far away from reception that when the magnetic key didn't work it was like waking 800mtrs return to reception to get it sorted - when your tired from walking already to make that journey on 2 separate occasions on our stay was an effort. Buffet good, rooms clean, friendly staff, they let us check in earlier with not extra cost. I must admit i did end up seeing a phone in the corridor that i could have rung later but i was walking via the pool pathways.
Had internet problems the whole time we were there and the swimming pools were slippery and dangerous to get in and out of. Apart from that it was clean and comfortable. Breakfasts’ average, and wonderful location.
We stayed in room 5202 and realised that there was only one way of exiting our floor. This could prove a danger if there were a fire or some sort of blockage between the room and the current exit. A second exit at the other end of the corridor should be established.
The internet access was very poor. More often than not, internet access was lost.
I holidayed with other groups of friends to which we all got sick. I do feel that the pool was a major source of sickness as other people in the complex were complaining of the same.
The resort is well placed and staff are friendly and helpful. I would consider staying again but would explore other options first

As it is a very big hotel, It is strongly advised to check where your room is located. We had a room facing a very busy street with Hard Rock Cafe next door. A live band performed every night from 6pm to 12.30am and it was very loud. OK for younger people who would be out and about partying but not for more mature people who would retire early
While our stay was value for money and the hotel was central it is becoming dated. We found all staff to be extremely friendly and hard working although reception staff were not very accomodating to our needs.
The only thing is their was a lot of noise around my room as the rooms are not sound proof. We had a lot of kids running up and down the night and the staff didn't do anything to stop them.
This was our 4th time staying at the Merlin and it never disappoints. The tranquility but closeness to everything makes it a great place to stay. We always look forward to the breakfasts and the half price cocktails! The gardens and pools are the best. Will definitely be back.
We only used the breakfast for dining but a fantastic spread and variety of foods offered both internation and to suit all nationalities.
The staff were amazing and this has been my second time at Patong Merlin I wouldn’t stay any where else as it is so central to everything and I love the resort
We had high expectations of Patong Merlin, however were disappointed with lack of poolside service and confusion around happy hour times etc. This daily confusion tarnished our overall experience of this hotel and I strongly recommend that they review policy as they would be losing a lot of money because of this.
This was our second stay at Patong Merlin & I honestly cannot fault this resort. The rooms are large with a balcony & very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is everything you could expect & the housecleaning was spot on every day.

Patong Merlin Hotel is located in an idea spot, only a short walk to the beach from our hotel room. We were spoilt for choice with dining options around us as well as a 10-15minute walk to the main shopping complex where there were more options to choose from. The staff were all so welcoming and very accommodating right from when we checked in.

Had to request room change as we were at the back next to "Hardrock Cafe" who had very loud music from about 9pm-2am. They were happy to change our room and we decided to pay for an upgrade. Had a great holiday.

This was our 4th stay at Patong Merlin Hotel since 2004. It has been well maintained and renovated over the years. The gardens only get better upon each visit and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Its in a perfect position, set towards one end of the beach rather than smack bang in the busy central area. It has 3 huge pools and countless sun beds nestled around the lush gardens. We would definitely stay here yet again!
Our stay at the Patong Merling was very enjoyable, the staff are very obliging, rooms are exceptional. This was our second stay here and will certainly return.
We would recommend a swim out room again, pool is nice and quite, no children, we have stayed at the P.M. H. 5 times and this is the first we have had a swim out room, and we would do it again. Thanks again Louise for all your help, plane and seats were great.
Every thing within walking distance taxi service at motel for other sight seeing no laundry service but available across the road drop off one day pick up the next great place to relax

Stayed at this hotel many times we requested a particular room and we got it. It was my birthday the day we arrived and they did the bed really nice all rose petals and a swan plus a cake it was a very nice touch. We loved our stay and would use this hotel again very central to everything
Everyone was very helpful taxis tours and late check. Rooms were cleaned well. Would have liked the pool opened later but understand noise maybe in issue. Breakfast was great.

We've stayed at the Patong Merlin four time before and keep going back. While there a newer resorts opening all around Phuket, the Merlin is so convenient - it's a short walk to everything so you're not always taking a cab or tuk tuk. The four pools are in lovely settings - you forget that the hustle and bustle of Phuket is literally footsteps away - as is the beach. They do great package deals in the shoulder seasons, the staff are very friendly, and the breakfast buffet is a cracker. Spend a little more and go for at least a superior pool view room. awesome resort right next to beach, close enough bangla road... happy hour maybe needs to start earlier as found myself heading out of the hotel and maybe the staff need to be a bit more enticing in swim up bar, but overall - loved it
Reception staff were excellent. rooms were clean. Bed was a bit hard and the pillows were not so good. Bathroom was a good size and modern. Pools were clean with plenty of deck chairs. Beach at one entrance and market shopping at the other. Next door to hard rock. breakfast was good although always same same.......
