Noosa is a popular holiday destination for families, with many returning year after year, often to the same resorts where the staff know them by name and have watched each year as the children continue to grow. Aside from its family friendly holiday accommodation, stunning location and great range of shopping, dining and activities close by; there are plenty of reasons why Noosa has become a favourite with families.
Noosa's beaches are patrolled and safe for swimming, making them the ideal activity to be enjoyed by the whole family. Main Beach and Sunshine Beach are two of Noosa's top beaches and the ones most recommended for families on holidays.
The nearby Noosa River is also a great activity offering fun for the whole family including some great fishing spots, swimming, kayaking, picnics and even boating. The river can provide days of fun for everyone with each new day holding a fun new activity to try out.
The National Park is another family favourite, particularly with the parents as it offers a stunning location to explore and can turn an educational stroll into hours of fun for the whole family. Not to mention, the great range of walking tracks are sure to tire the little ones out meaning mum and dad can enjoy a more relaxed evening.
However if you're up for a bit of adventure, 4WDing is a popular activity not just in the Noosa National Park but also in the nearby Cooloola National Park, Mt Tinbeerwah, Wooroi State Forest and Mt Coolum.
However, possibly the biggest drawcard for Noosa is its deceptively secluded location. Although while staying in the region you'll enjoy peace and tranquillity, Noosa is still conveniently close to a range of major tourist attractions on the Sunshine Coast. Family favourite like Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary, The Ginger Factory, Aussie World, The Big Pineapple, Underwater World and of course, Australia Zoo are just a short car trip away and are a fantastic day out for the whole family.
