Westin Family Kids Club: More than just a playground for children, the Westin Family is a fully supervised interactive environment that offers fun, games, and educational activities courtesy of Westin. Set in a quiet garden corner and shaded by tropical greenery, the Westin Family offer an extensive collection of activities from dawn until dusk in secured indoor and outdoor settings. The spacious outdoor playground caters to children between the ages of 4-12 years and features fun activities such as face painting, pizza making, kite making, fishing, movie night, stargazing and many more. The Kids Club also has a new Mini Zoo where kids can pet and feed rabbits.
Adjacent to the playground, an air-conditioned classroom offers an educational environment for children to enjoy fun activities in a playgroup situation. This was our first visit to Bali, the Westin Resort in Nusa Dua did not disappoint. Right from our arrival we were met by extremely friendly and accommodating staff, this continued throughout our stay and never felt fake like certain other South East Asian countries.
The resort was spotless and despite being around 30 years old, was overall well maintained and provided all the amenities required for a relaxing holiday. One wing was currently under redevelopment, the noise and disruptions were kept to an absolute minimal.
We did have an issue with our upgraded Premium Room. The room was very musky to the point we were feeling a bit off after our first night. Reception were fantastic and we were moved to a slightly smaller room though with short access to both the beach and pool. They could not have being more accommodating and were still apologising on check out, A+!
Oh, the breakfast buffet…. One word can only describe how good it was; incredible! An abundance of choices on offer, and it slightly changed each day to keep it fresh.
The pool is very good and an amazing place to unwind. Be warned, the main section is exceptionally deep, well over head height. However, this is to ensure the pool does not get too hot from the suns heat soak. Temperature was perfect. There's plenty of shallower sections for all ages.
Restaurant food was overall very good with just enough options for all ages and requirements. Our favourite was actually the Italian. I know, it's not Balinese, but it was really delicious and good value.
Overall, the Westin is good value with all of the amenities you would expect from a modern resort. The location is great, only 20 minutes to the airport on a good run, and just a short stroll to safe shops and plenty of other resorts on hand if you want a different experience. The staff were amazing and we honestly did not have one complaint or unresolved issue during our stay. Highly recommend!
