This 3 Days Elephant Hills Jungle Lake Safari capture the magical essence of southern Thailand`s rainforest at Khao Sok National Park. Spend your first night at the Elephant Hills camp where you engage with elephants, the largest land animal in Asia and also enjoy many other activities such as canoeing the Sok River, cooking demonstrations or a dance performance by local school children. The following day you are transported to a luxury camp location where you will embark on guided canoeing safaris, go wildlife spotting or just spend some time out relaxing by the lake. With the stunning views that surround the Lake Camp, you will be hard pressed not to leave this tour feeling relaxed and with a heart filled with incredible life-time memories.

Elephant Hills Camp
Elephant Hills Camp is located close to the jungle of Khao Sok National Park and provides luxurious tents. These tents have been tailor made and feature comfortable solid beds, fan, tea & coffee making facilities and a private bathroom. Tents are spacious and are well protected against the natural elements with the interiors being furnished with handcrafted furniture. Prices are based on 2 people sharing a tent, however single supplements are available on request. For a third person sharing a tent, portable beds will be used.

Elephant Hills Lake Camp
Elephant Hills Lake Camp provides a unique camping experience. The luxury tented camp floats on Cheow Larn Lake and is surrounded by towering limestone mountains and rainforest. At the end of a day touring you can kayak through the klongs and channels in search of local wildlife, trek through the jungle, take a refreshing dip in the enticing waters of Cheon Larn Lake or relax on the private deck at the front of your tent and settle back as the sun sets. The eco-friendly camp utilizes both wind and solar energy and harnesses responsible waste management. There are 10 tents at Lake Camp and they feature comfortable beds, fan, tea & coffee making facilities and a private bathroom. Tents are spacious and are well protected against the natural elements with the interiors being furnished with hand crafted furniture. Prices are based on 2 people sharing a tent, however single supplements are available on request. For a third person sharing a tent portable beds will be used.

Itinerary

3 Days & 2 Nights Elephant Hills Jungle Lake Safari

Day 1 Overnight - Elephant Hills camp: Includes Lunch & Dinner
Get ready to be awed. This morning, you are collected from your preferred departure location and then journey through southern Thailand to Elephant Hills camp. At noon a buffet lunch is served providing a sumptuous variety of delectable Thai dishes. As lunch settles relax on the Sok River, with a gentle jungle river canoe excursion. See the impressive limestone mountains and cliffs draped in tropical foliage, whilst catching glimpses and basking reptiles on the river banks and of hornbill birds swooning above. As you drift downstream you enter some of the last remaining areas of the primary rainforest, to wonder at a world where little has changed over time.

Disembarking the canoe, visit the Elephant Sanctuary. This truly amazing experience provides you with the opportunity to see, touch, prepare a daily meal and feed the elephants. As Asia's largest land animal, learn and interact with their mahouts (elephant caretakers) all whilst gaining an insight into the conservation project.

Head back to your luxury tent to relax before enjoying the evening activities. The Jungle Explorers Club Bar serves a selection of wines, cocktails and beers (at own expense). Other optional activities available include a traditional Thai dance performance by local school children, a movie presentation or a cooking demonstration. Dinner is served around 8.00 pm. As you dine in this unique location enjoy the sounds and atmosphere of the rainforest.

Day 2 Overnight - Lake Camp: Includes Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Feeling refreshed after your breakfast and your first night in the rainforest, this morning is spent exploring Cheow Larn Lake aboard a local long-tail boat. This little hidden gem is home to wild elephants, hornbills and a numerous other tropical bird species, the rare Asian ox, many different species of monkeys, reptiles, amphibians and even leopards and tigers. With the myriad of creatures making their home here and the stunning beauty of the mountains jutting out of the water, this is nature at its best.
Check into your floating accommodation at Elephant Hills Lake Camp. Refresh and then sit down, relax and enjoy a prepared buffet Thai lunch with the tranquil views of Cheow Larn Lake as your backdrop.

After lunch, explore the rainforest by foot. Feel at one with nature as you witness the magical world unfold before you as you trek through the rainforest with your experienced guide. This evening take have the opportunity for a refreshing dip in the lake before dinner is served. The starlit sky coupled with the intriguing sounds of the rainforest will create a truly memorable dining experience.

Day 3: Includes Breakfast & Lunch
Before departing Elephant Hills Lake Camp to travel to your next destination, you will be invited to join in a guided canoe safari. Discover one of the many channels that showcase more hidden gems in the heart of the rainforest before your last lunch is served at the Lake Camp. This adventure tour will leave you with an unrivalled nature based experience.
