We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Panorama Seaside Apartments. Brett was a friendly and affable host and we adored our little hire car. It's too far away from Burnt Pine to walk but that's ok because the serenity, views and proximity to Kingston and our little car overcame all that. Highly recommended!
Walking access to Kingston. With car easy access to all places.
Beautiful location just out of Kingston over looking Convict Colony, Philip & Neapan Islands.Self contained units, neat tidy & clean Hire car included in our accommodation package 5 mins to anywhere. .Definitely stay here again
Location good, close to Kingston and town although a car was needed. Very comfortable bed and milk, tea etc for when we arrived. Library with plenty of books and magazines was a bonus. Enjoyed all of the seafood we ate and our time at the cinema. Emily Bay lovely and a good swimming beach. Cockroaches annoying.History of the island interesting and the museums are well worth a visit. Considering staying here again.
Very quiet and peaceful place to chill out.
Lovely place overlooking Kingston and the old penal colony. Self contained and it was easy to prepare your own meals or a short drive into town to dine out. Loved the free roaming cows and chickens. It made a real difference to my usual city living. I will definitely return.
A bit out from main town but good facilities.
We stayed a week at Panaroma and were privileged to have Unit 2 which had the most amazing views over Kingston. The view was sensational, the unit was clean and the owner was very helpful. On the day we were to leave, (3:30pm flight), the owner offered that we could stay past the10am check-out as no-one was coming into our unit on that day! That was wonderful!
The property is ready for a make over and a mid week service should be included with a weekly rental.
Quite comfortable, beds a little worse for wear. Friendly staff. Awesome view. No food but self contained units. A little weather worn. Great for the price (pay for 4, stay for 7)
Our unit was acceptable although toilet/washroom door would not close, requires some urgent carpentry attention.
The stairway down to garbage bins needs a handrail.
Location fantastic for beautiful scenery. Hire car a necessity. Rooms were large and sufficiently furnished. If a light sleeper roosters crowing and cows mooing wake you up at 5am.
We were disappointed because when we arrived we were told that our one week stay involved us moving from one apartment to another mid week. Whilst this was not hugely a problem it did mean we felt that we were in limbo as far as unpacking etc. The owner did provide us with a bottle of wine acknowledging the problem but it was certainly not what we had expected. Had we have been told beforehand I am sure that we would still have elected to stay there.
Would stay again if I got the same room other rooms we looked at quite small
Great spot with views over historic Kingston
We got a free upgrade to unit 2 with views over sea and Philip island
Units come with a car (you need one on Norfolk!) for $20 insurance a day
Incredible views and beautifully quiet and peaceful. Apartment was a generous size with bedrooms and living space.
Older establishment in a great scenic location, but can be windy. Two rooms do not have a balcony but have the best sea views. Not all rooms have a view of the ocean. Property description is not clear to define.
We were very impressed with the help given to us on our stay, and even though not 5 star, the rooms were very clean and comfortable - the position with ocean views was terrific.
Overall the holiday was relaxing as there is not much to do on Norfolk Island. The accommodation was basic but suited our needs
Accommodation a bit tired needs some maintenance. If not for free nights it would be overpriced. The view of ocean would be one of best on Island
We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit on the ground floor. They are situated on the southern side of the island looking out towards Phillip and Nepean Islands and a short drive to Kingston pier and a safe swimming beach. No shopping or eateries at Kingston. Kingston is a heritage area with lots of museums. Apartments were also a short drive away from Burnt Pine the only town on the island. The people are very friendly and tourism related activities are the mainstay for the island. The apartments, or at least our apartment was in need of maintenance but was ok in that the beds were comfortable and the water hot and the view fabulous.
We had best view on the Island. Room was tired but clean. As it rained five out of seven days we struggled to get clothes dry as they had no dryer. When walked through the passage way it smelt musty and the grounds were very uneven cement broken up a bit dangerous. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and so glad we had the apartment we had. The apartment was a self catering one as we requested.
An older place with all units fully self contained and with spectacular views of Old Kingston convict settlement and adjoining islands. The owner, Brett Martin, is very personable and willing to help with anything. We have stayed there previously and would not hestitate to stay there again. It is located outside Burnt Pine (short but beautiful drive - about 10 mins bearing in mind max speed limit of 50kmphr).
Very friendly and helpful manager. Brilliant view and location.
