It was just lovely
They could do with 10 more sun lounges along the lagoon and beach area and possibly 1 or 2 more around the pool.
We loved the resort and it was so close to the Port Vila and easy to get to by bus for approximately $1.50 per person per trip. Three pools were beautiful, dining was excellent and really good value we went out a couple of times but preferred to dine in the Leaf Restaurant as it was beautiful food at a great price.
Amazing holiday in Vanuatu, the staff are more than accommodating to anything you would like including day trips and places to see, friendly to all and give excellent service. The only issue is the stairs and hill which you have to go to your room and the main road. We also had problems with our shower trying to get an even mix of water. Other than that our stay was amazing the staff, food and accommodation was excellent value for money and would recommend to all my family and friends. Thank you
Highly recommend for families looking to stay out of the hustle and bustle of central Port Vila, but still close enough to walk or catch any number of transport options into town. Poppy's was quiet, relaxing and had everything you'd need. The staff couldn't do enough for us and a week felt like two! Beautiful Vanuatu, can't wait to go back!
We have stayed at Poppys about five times to date and on the most recent visit continued to enjoy the setting, location and friendly local staff. We feel the resort could do with some general maintenance inside the rooms/ bungalows as the condition of them has deteriorated over the years.
We usually stay in a lagoon view studio which is good value for money. This visit we were offered an upgrade to a beach front spa bungalow for a reasonable rate and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Travel Online offer very reasonably priced packages frequently.
We had a great stay, we did notice a lot of the vans wouldn't use the road we were dropped off at the top of the hill. A bit more variety on the menu wouldn't hurt.
Poppy's is in a good central location about a 10 minute walk to centre of Port Villa. Rooms were comfortable with basic amenities. The pool/bar area is a bit small but comfortable and happy hour is between 5 & 6pm. The staff are very friendly and helpful and happy to help organise tours. Our room was up the hill and the steps up to our room was a little tiring for older people but the view made up for this.
We stayed for a week at Poppy's. This resort is well located and an easy walk to town, which suited us. Rooms are clean and serviced well. Food was fine and a breakfast provided daily of pancakes, bread, jams and fruit. Only negative was barking dogs throughout the night which made it impossible to get a decent sleep.
We had a lovely stay at Poppys the staff were very friendly and helpful and booking tours and chatting to us about the island.
:)
Value for money accommodation. Staff great, friendly and helpful.
What a great resort! We went there for a special occasion & were made to feel we were VIP's. We will definitely be back.
Stayed for 7 nights in October. Very nice, quiet, small resort. 3 pools, and kayaks, canoes etc but don't stay at Poppys if you are looking for a resort with lots of activities and action. Suited us perfectly as we wanted a nice quiet relaxing holiday. Good 15 minute walk into town ( up the driveway and uphill to start with ) Staff are very friendly and helpful..but they work on Island time - so do as I did - do not go to Vanuatu with high expectations - just go with the flow and you will have a fantastic time.
Poppy's suited us down to the ground. Our apartment at the resort was upstairs and we had a beautiful view of the lagoon. The apartment was neat and clean and self contained. The resort was very friendly and the staff wonderful. There were a mixture of young and old, families and young couples and middle aged couples staying and everyone seemed to be having a good time. We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the lagoon each morning. The resort was down a steep hill which made it seem secluded from the rest of the world. It also gave us some exercise each day walking up it. We could walk into the main street from Poppy's and to all of the shops. The staff arranged transportation for us if we wanted it. I would definitely go back.
There are two levels and the accommodation up the hill is difficult for anyone mobility impaired
Staff were great, rooms were fantastic overall terrific holiday experience
We only stayed there overnight but found it to be very friendly
beautiful place to stay - loved kyaking in the lagoon & so easy to get around!
Very friendly efficient staff and a very relaxing environment. However, we were the only people there, with more guests pool access could be difficult. Also the 15 minute \"stroll\" into town involved an initial steep climb and took me about 25 minutes. Overall though an extremely pleasant place to stay.
