After being picked up from your accommodation in a 4WD vehicle, your tour includes the picture-postcard Taotea lookout, where the geographical building blocks of the island are revealed.
Before arriving at Belvedere the tour stops at an archaeological site to discover the ancient Polynesian customs. Once in Belvedere, the view is sure to impress. Mt Rotui dominates the landscape with Cook and Opunohu Bays nearby. Your English speaking guide will provide informative commentary about the local legends, culture surrounding these sites and explain how the explorers changed Polynesia’s history.
The tour ends with a visit to the plantations of the Agricultural College, where you have can discover many varieties of tropical fruit trees. Take the time to taste the juice and other local products derived from their agricultural plantations before returning to your hotel.
