How To Get To Noosa

Located approximately 250km north of the Gold Coast and 160km north of Brisbane, getting to Noosa is easy thanks to the great range of connecting highway networks that run from the Gold Coast and Queensland’s capital Brisbane, along the Sunshine Coast to Noosa.

Getting to Noosa takes just under two hours by car from Brisbane taking the Bruce Highway north before taking the Eumundi Noosa Road exit then turning off at Eenie Creek Road and following it all the way into town. There are also plenty of great paces to stop off along the way for those who have a little bit of extra time on their way to Noosa.

The closest airport to Noosa is at Marcoola with direct flights offered between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The Sunshine Coast Airport is situated 30 minutes south of Noosa with flights between Sydney taking approximately 1 hour and a half and flights between Melbourne taking around 2 and a half hours.

Getting there by bus or coach is an easy and affordable option if you don’t have your own vehicle or would like to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery while someone else takes care of the driving. There are a number of coach services that operate through Cooroy along the Bruce Highway, with connecting bus services to Noosa taking about 15 minutes. There are also local services that operate throughout Cooroy, Tewantin, Maroochydore and Sunshine Coast Airport with a bus trip from Brisbane taking between two and a half to three hours.

Traveling to Noosa is also possible by train, with the closest train station also located in Cooroy. However for more frequent rail services, Nambour is just 30 minutes south of Noosa and also offers regular bus connections to Noosa.
