At 80ft long and a single mast reaching 106ft, the Siska was built in Western Australia and had sailed approximately 140,000 nautical miles before retiring to the Whitsundays in late 1992. Having circumnavigated the world twice and won the Sydney to Hobart yacht race twice, she now enjoys a more relaxed way of live sailing the Whitsunday Islands.
Due to her racing heritage, Siska features a myriad of sailing gear and winches and guests are welcomed to assist the crew in hoisting and trimming the sails and even taking the helm to steer through the crystal waters of the Great Barrier Reef. However she is also one of the most comfortable maxi yachts available with plenty of head room, ample deck space, 2 dining tables at which to enjoy your meals and even a boom awning to provide shade when anchored.
Breakfast at 8.00am is followed by a bushwalk or swim before enjoying a couple of hours to sail, snorkel, dive and explore your beach destination. It's then onto the coral reefs for some exploration or you may choose to simply relax on the beach.
Lunch is served at 1.00pm before sailing amid the Whitsunday Islands and arriving at your overnight anchorage by 4.30 - 5.30pm. As the other yachts arrive you'll have time to socialise with the other guests and enjoy a drink as you watch the spectacular sunset. Dinner is served at 7.30pm and the night is yours to party away or relax under the stars.
Your remaining time is spent much the same, cruising the crystal waters of the Great Barrier Reef and enjoying the pristine beaches of the Whitsunday Islands before returning to the marina.
