Today you’ll be transported to the enchanting Fitzroy Island home to only one resort, two restaurants, a general store, and a hire hut, there’s not much to distract you from the simplicity and pure natural goodness that it affords, like snorkelling coral gardens right off the beach or nature trails with views so beautiful and peaceful, you’ll never want to leave. Be sure to take the short stroll to Nudey Beach, consistently voted as 1 of Australia's best beaches, or for the more adventurous take your trainers and hike up to the lighthouse for expansive views out over the barrier reef.

Great Barrier Reef

No trip to Cairns is complete without visiting the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll embark a catamaran for morning refreshments before sailing out to Moore Reef to learn about the astonishing natural history of the Great Barrier Reef during a guided tour. Relish an escorted coral-viewing tour from a semi-submersible vessel and a glass-bottom boat, where you’ll take in the incredible sights of these astonishing coral formations. Enjoy buffet lunch and afternoon tea with incredible views of the outer reef before returning to shore, still in a state of awe at this vibrant, bustling underwater ecosystem.
