Travel around the base of Uluru in the comfort of your coach as your Driver Guide provides commentary about the numerous sacred sites and features to be found at Uluru. Continue to the Kuniya Walk where your Driver Guide will escort you to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area as your Driver Guide points out some native flora and explains the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Later visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you can learn about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts. In the late afternoon we travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine. Then it is off to an exclusive outback venue where you will enjoy a traditional Aussie BBQ dinner with sparkling wine under the stars, before returning to your resort.
Please note guests who will be flying in on QF1941 will not be able to join Kata Tjuta and Uluru Sunset on day of arrival. You must advise flight details at time of booking. The name of this tour shall change to Uluru Sacred Sites and Sunset with BBQ Dinner from 01 April 2017.
Departs: daily 2.30pm (Apr–Oct) & 3.00pm (Nov–Mar) from Ayers Rock Resort
Returns: approximately 2.5 hours after sunset
Children: 15 years and under are charged at the child rate
What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, camera & jacket in cooler months
Excludes: National Park fee payable direct $25 per person
Fitness requirement: Moderate level of fitness required. Walking on uneven surface required to complete Walpa Gorge walk, however, guests can return to the coach at any time if needed.
