Spend the afternoon walking between the domes in Walpa Gorge, and enjoying a glass of wine as you watch the sun sets over Uluru. As a new day dawns, see the first rays of sun light up Uluru from the viewing platform, before enjoying a drive around the base of 'the rock'. You will also be treated to a guided walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole where you will see Aboriginal rock art and hear about the history of the area. Enjoy a visit to the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and see an amazing collection of original ceremics, paintings and woodwork of the Anangu people.

Day 1 Alice Springs - Uluru (Ayers Rock): Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Stop at a camel farm for a camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Join your Guide for a drive around the base of Uluru. Then travel by coach to the Mutitjulu Walk where you will be escorted to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. This waterhole provides a key source of water for the Aboriginal people in the area and has been in use for many thousands of years. See Aboriginal rock art and hear about the Aboriginal and European history of the area. Visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. It houses an amazing collection of original ceramics, paintings and punu (woodwork) that provide an insight into the unique and spiritual culture of the Anangu people, the traditional custodians of Uluru. Then travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area to witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying complimentary wine.
Day 2 Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sunrise & Kata Tjuta (Olgas) Tour: Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre and Uluru alight. Make your way to the viewing platform to see many kilometres into the distance, providing an ideal photo opportunity. The travel to Kata Tjuta and continue to the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport (flights to depart after 1.00pm).
