Spend the day travelling by 4WD through the majestic West MacDonnell Ranges to the historic Aboriginal community of Hermannsburg. See an amazing range of Aboriginal art including a collection of the works of Albert Namatjira. You'll then head down the bed of one of the world's oldest watercourses, Finke River, and into the white sands, rock pools and swaying palm trees of Palm Valley. Discover a myriad of plants including cycads, cabbage palms and a unique range of flora internationally renowned as relic plants. Also see the Amphitheatre rock formation and the kaleidoscope of colours as the sun sets over the West MacDonnell Ranges.
