Northern Ireland Attractions

Belfast Castle, Northern Ireland

The largest and capital city of Northern Ireland, Belfast is a unique blend of ancient history and architecture and modern lifestyle and entertainment. Situated at the mouth of the Lagan River, Belfast is renowned for its history in ship building and is where the ill-fated and iconically ‘unsinkable’ HMS Titanic was built before hitting an iceberg in the North Atlantic and sinking on its maiden voyage.

Giant’s Causeway

Giant's Causeway, County Antrim

The most popular attraction in Northern Ireland, Giant’s Causeway is a natural wonder on the northeast coast that is characterised by more than 40,000 basalt columns as a result of an ancient volcanic eruption. A declared UNESCO World Heritage site, the huge columns act as stepping stones between the cliffs before disappearing into the ocean and are 12m at their highest point and 28m at their thickest.
