Getting To Long Island

Enjoying a secluded location on the Great Barrier Reef, Long Island is just 9km long and 400m wide. As such, there is no airport on the island and the primary way of travel is via boat transfer.

The easiest way to get to Long Island is to fly into Hamilton Island Airport, then take a transfer with Cruise Whitsundays to the Port of Airlie where you will then be transferred to Shute Harbour for your water taxi transfer to Long Island.

Alternatively, you can also fly into the Proserpine Airport then catch a taxi or shuttle transfer to Shute Harbour and board the water taxi transfer to Long Island.
