Getting to Haggerstone Island

As the map below shows, Haggerstone Island is a tropical island which enjoys a remote location and as such access is limited. There is no air strip on the island therefore you must catch a private charter from Cairns that will take you to the airstrip on neighbouring Hicks Island.

Virgin Australia, Qantas and Jetstar operate direct flights throughout Australia to Cairns. Flying time from Brisbane is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, Sydney is 3 hours and Melbourne is approximately 3 and a half hours. Cairns International airport also has direct flights arriving from many International destinations including, New Zealand, Japan and South East Asia.
