For almost 100 years the O'Reilly family have been offering guests accommodation and eco-education amongst the lost world of ancient and subtropical rainforest.
This Gold Coast hinterland accommodation offers a range of rooms types from hotel-style rooms to self-contained villas. All rooms feature stunning views of the rainforest or mountains from the balcony or deck. The Mountain View Rooms are a compact, yet contemporary and comfortable retreat at the end of a day of walking and exploring. The romantics will love the Canopy Suites with their four poster beds, fire place and spa tub in the bathroom. For those wishing to self cater the Villas are decked out with everything you need, including an expansive deck with BBQ area, outdoor dining and a spa bath right on the deck.
The main attraction is of course the Lamington National Park and the stunning beauty of the subtropical rainforest. A range of bushwalks of various lengths and levels take you into the rainforest where you can experience nature up close and personal, from the giant trees to the waterfalls to the wildlife. O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat also offers a myriad of activities for guests to choose from, some complimentary and some at a charge. The team at O'Reilly's are all about educating visitors about the environment and natural habitat of the rainforest flora and fauna, as well as the history of the area. They offer complimentary bird walks, daily bird feeding, a documentary film, and the popular tree top walks comprised of a collection of suspension bridges right through the tree tops.

There is no television or telephone in this room. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed or 1 Queen + 1 Single Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children.
1 Bedroom Canopy Suite: 3 Suites are located on retreat. Enjoy views overlooking the mountains from the large deck. These suites also feature a king size four poster bed, a fire place and couples spa tub in the bathroom. There is no television, telephone or air conditioning in this suite. Bedding is 1 King Bed + 1 Queen Sofa Bed + 1 fold-out single ottoman. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children.
2 Bedroom Canopy Suite: 2 Suites located on retreat. The main bedroom features a king size four poster bed. These suites also feature a fire place and couples spa bath. Enjoy views overlooking the mountain ranges from the large deck. There is no television, telephone or air conditioning in this suite. Bedding is 1 King Bed + 1 King Split + 1 fold-out Queen Sofa Bed. Maximum room capacity is 6 Adults & Children.

The Rainforest Bar: Located above reception this popular bar features stunning sunset vistas over the mountains from the balcony. Enjoy a range of light snacks, pizzas and drinks by the fire place. Open from 4pm.
The Dining Room: Serving breakfast from 7am and dinner from 5.30pm daily. The Dining Room offers a great selection of food and local wine.
O'Reilly's Mountain Cafe: Open daily, a full a la carte menu is available between 11am and 2:30pm, with light options available all throughout the day. Enjoy a snack, refreshing drink or a cup of tea with scones.

Lost World Spa: Feel like you've really escaped at this amazing day spa, a hidden treasure in the mountains. Enjoy a range of treatments and massages, all with the best view in the house. The Lost World Spa is closed on all Tuesdays and Christmas Day.
O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat is a scenic 2 hour self-drive south of Brisbane and 90 minutes west of the Gold Coast.
Please note - Some online maps will take you towards Binna Burra. This is incorrect. Instead please type in Kidston Street, Canungra. Once you reach The Canungra Hotel, turn on Kidston Street off the main Road in Canungra (Nerang Beaudesert Road) as it turns into Lamington National Park Road. You will need to stay on this road as it takes you up the mountain, through the rainforest to O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat. Hint: If you pass O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards you're heading the right way. Also, please be advised that Duck Creek Road, which is an alternate 4WD road to O'Reilly's - is completely closed. Do not try and use this road to get to the Retreat.
