The Townsville Airport is the major regional airport servicing the city of Townsville, located in the suburb of Garbutt. Although it is also known as the Townsville International Airport, there are currently no international services operating to or from the airport. The Townsville Airport is home to a number of domestic air carriers including Alliance Airlines, Jetstar, West Wing Aviation, Qantas, Airnorth, Virgin Australia and Regional Express. Flights are available to Darwin, Cairns, Mount Isa, Julia Creek, Cloncurry, Richmond, Hughenden, Winton, Longreach, Moranbah, Mackay, Rockhampton, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Townsville Airport is open from 5am to 11pm daily and is 'locked down' between closing and opening time for security reasons. The terminal is home to a number of public facilities including ATMs, toilets and baby care facilities, baggage trolleys, arrival and departure lounges, disabled facilities and a number of shopping and dining options. Aromas Café is open from 5am to 5.30pm 7 days a week and offers a selection of tea, coffee, cold drinks and gourmet food airside. BLD (Breakfast Lunch Dinner) is open from 5am to the time of the last flight 7 days a week and offers a bar area, pool table and big screen TV on the ground floor of the terminal.
Newslink is open from 5am to 7.30pm 7 days a week for a handy range of personal conveniences, snacks, souvenirs, stationery, newspapers, magazines, novels and more. Townsville Airport is also home to a number of car parking options to make getting to the airport more convenient. There are short term, long term and premium long term car parking options that range from $5 for two hours to $18 for 24 hours. All car parks feature disabled parking spaces and are located right outside the front door of the terminal or just a short walk away.
