Gladstone Airport is an airport located off Aerodrome Road in the western suburbs of the Queensland town of Gladstone, approximately 10km from the city centre. Originally controlled by the Gladstone-Calliope Aerodrome Board, the airport has been managed by the Gladstone Regional Council since early 2007. The airport services a number of types of aircrafts including ATR 72 aircraft, Embraer 190 and 50 to 74-seater Dash 8 aircraft.
There are a number of recognised Australian air carriers that service the Gladstone Airport including the Qantas subsidiary, QantasLink who operate flights to Brisbane, Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton, Townsville and Sydney in partnership with Sunstate Airlines as well as Virgin Australia Regional Airlines who operate flights to Brisbane. The Gladstone Airport sees approximately 76 commercial aircraft movements per week with daily flights to the above destinations.
The Gladstone Airport is home to a number of onsite services and facilities including public toilets, baby change rooms, ATMs, visitor information desks, a taxi rank immediately outside the domestic terminal, car hire companies inside the terminal and onsite parking with up to 2 hours free.
