Located approximately 4km northeast of the New South Wales town of Albury, the regional Albury Airport services both the city of Albury as well as its Victorian sister city of Wodonga. Having recently undergone an upgrade, the airport has seen an increased amount of flights and as such, has implemented a number of new security screening procedures to cope with the added amount of passengers. The Albury Airport is also home to the Albury-Wodonga official weather station and caters for a range of different aircraft types including 104-seat Embraer 190s, 50 seat Dash 8-300s, 74 seat Dash 8-400s, 36 seat Saab 340s and 19 seat Metroliners.
Servicing approximately 284,535 passengers per annum, there are a number of Australian airlines who service the Albury Airport including QantasLink who offer flights to Sydney by Eastern Australia Airlines, Regional Express who offer flights to Sydney and Melbourne, Virgin Australia who offer flights to Sydney by Skywest and Brindabella Airlines who offer flights to Canberra. Located on Borella Road, Albury Airport features a range of onsite services and facilities including check-in counters staffed 90 minutes prior to each flight and 30 minutes after each departure, baggage carousels on the ground floor arrivals hall, ATMs throughout the terminal, toilets and baby change rooms as well as complimentary WiFi access in the departures lounge.
There are also a range of transport options available to and from the airport including public and private transport. A taxi rank is located directly outside the airport's domestic terminal while a number of car hire companies are located inside the terminal for all of your self-drive needs. However if you prefer to make your own way to and from the airport, there are a range of parking options available onsite. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes but is charged at an hourly or daily rate thereafter.
