The Eco Trax Fiji Tour combines pushbikes and an old sugar cane railway to take you on a journey through a magical part of the Coral Coast. The Eco Trax base is in a converted sugar shed in Cuvu, Sigatoka and the tour makes its way to a secluded beach spot to enjoy refreshments and a swim before heading back to base. Sit back and enjoy the local scenery including rainforest, mangroves, rock cuttings, fields, villages, farms, rivers and beaches.
This Fiji tour features special adapted tandem bikes called velocipedes that are electric powered meaning you can pedal or not, putting in as much or as little energy as you like. Because the bikes are hard mounted to a carriage and run along a track you can go hands free and take photos at leisure along the way. No previous bike riding experience is necessary.
Eco Trax Fiji Tour sees you covering about 24km of track, with actual riding time approximately 45 minutes each way with some stops included. Your guide will tell you about the history of the sugar cane industry and the local area, as well as information about the environment and natural surroundings. Stop at the farms along the way to meet the locals and collect the local fruit you will enjoy at the beach later in the trip. The Eco Trax Fiji Tour also includes a visit to Malomalo Village where you will have an opportunity to meet the locals and give gifts to the children if you choose.
This Fiji tour embraces the local community, produce and environment. Eco Trax prides itself in being a zero carbon footprint tour, living up to its name. The office and reception use solar power, and resources including refreshments are sourced locally, allowing you to get a sense of the 'real Fiji'. The Eco Trax Fiji Tour is 3 hours in duration making it a perfect half day tour option for families to add to your Fiji holiday itinerary.
