This was undoubtedly one of our best holidays. Toberua is paradise on earth with its gorgeous setting and the special feel of intimacy. But what makes it really special is the staff who are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The warmth of the people , the beauty of the place and the fabulous dining will stay with us forever. We will certainly go back one day!
The worst thing about Toberua is that you only get one chance to experience it for the first time.
This island is a unique and wonderful experience. To explain it would detract from the list of pleasant surprises, you simply have to see it for yourself.
Little bit of heaven to get away from it all.
We will to return with longer stay, Bit hard to get to ,but now there will be a direct flight to Suva and it will be a lot better next visit.
Toberua Island is fantastic. The only reason we would not go back is the fact that we had to travel through Nadi airport. We had to spend 5 hours in transit and in the heat without aircon it was too much. We will go back when the airline has direct flights to Suva which I believe is coming. To fly to Sydney and then to Suva would be better.
Toberua is something special and promotes a real community feeling among its guests. Every day you have a huge range of activities to choose from as well as deciding which of the gourmet dishes you want from the menu. A truly relaxing stay on a beautiful island with amazing staff.
All i can muster at the moment is Wow, wow and wow!! What an amazing little place! We only got back home 4 days ago and I have post Toberua depression! I just want to go back! I miss the people, the serenity and the rawness of it all. As soon as you step onto the jetty the beautiful Fijian crew make you feel instantly welcome! We spent 8 days there and by the end of our stay we felt like we belonged there and were part of there Toberua family!
If you appreciate fine dining and tastes that take you to another place then this is the place you need to visit. The cuisine is AMAZING! I highly recommend the meals included package.
The trip to get to the Island is half the fun. You do get to see the little villages and the Fijian people doing the daily routine. I do recommend arriving by day though.
The weather wasn't great during our stay but it made absolutely no difference! We snorkelled in the rain, went for walks in the rain and loved listening to the sound of the rain on the thatched roof. As it is so warm over there, you would be wet from swimming , snorkelling or lazing in the gorgeous water anyway so it didnt matter if you were wet from rain or ocean!!
The village trip is an absolute must!! That was the highlight of our trip. We explored the little village, drank karva and danced for hours with its people. We helped the village financially by buying the beautiful hand made gifts they had made.
There was always something to do and the staff were so accomodating and nothing was an problem for them.
My only complaint is that my stay wasnt long enough!! We are alreading planning our next trip back so its something to look forward to!
Seriously.... you have to visit this little piece of magic on the sea!!
This place is fabulous.Could not fault anything really.Day trips to nearby islands & villages a real highlight.Food was absolutley fabulous.
Highly recommended, a wonderful relaxing place to stay.
