South Kuta's beaches are beautiful and safe for swimming and are far less crowded than those of Central Bali. The region is particularly popular with families as the Waterbom Waterslide Park is also nearby and is one of Asia's biggest water theme parks. With 15 world-class waterslides to enjoy, this South Kuta attraction is popular with kids and adults alike.

There are plenty of holiday recreation activities on offer in South Kuta including the Paradiso Bowling Centre, an 18-lane centre with lots of pool and snooker tables, as well as activities to discover the local culture including language lessons where you can learn to speak Bahasa Indonesia, the local language.

With a tropical monsoon climate, South Kuta's weather and climate is characterised by two distinct seasons - wet and dry. The wet season occurs between November and March while the dry season falls between April and October with hotter temperatures and less humidity than the wet season. Average temperatures generally stay around the 30C (86F) mark year round.

Getting around South Kuta is easy with metres taxis and motorbike rentals widely available. Walking is an excellent way to explore at your own pace and if you're feeling game you can always try an ojek, or local scooter. However the scooters are not suitable for families, therefore hourly shuttle bus services are provided daily from 10 am to 7 pm from various resorts and hotels on pre-purchased vouchers.
