Great stay
Great people
Great food
Great location
What a delightful boutique resort! Hidden away away from the crowds and traffic, this resort has everything from a great pool, to great food and drives waiting for you out front! Would definitely stay here again!
Location was central to everywhere in Bali. Just a 1km from seminyak square which was great for shopping.
Staff were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. We had a fantastic stay.
We caught taxis to all the great restaurants and beaches with no trouble at all. Taum is a great place to stay.
Positives:
Staff were numerous and very friendly and attentive
All meals were excellent
Grounds were well maintained
Location was central
Negatives:
Varying room designs so a couple of comments based on our room only:
Disappointed in "private" pool / courtyard - lack of sun and privacy
Weren't aware of stairs to bedroom - expected walk out to pool from bedroom
Accommodation was tired and felt like maintenance has been neglected and room provisions were minimal (eg. needed to point out multiple light bulbs that were out of action, no iron in room, no ice cube tray)
On balance we would look to go elsewhere when next staying in Bali
We weren't sure what to expect pre arrival, however we were pleasantly surprised. All the Staff, from Security to room cleaning were pleasant and helpful. We were on the 3rd floor with a good size balcony with lounge overlooking pool. The view was palm trees, water and beautiful gardens. The room was more apartment in setting. It had a width larger than King bed, good size fridge, a cook top with two electric burners, good size sink, cupboards with shelves not just hanging space, big vanity in bath room, bath room/shower with a good non slip surface. Room lights were dim and needed to be brighter. DVD player had to be requested. The apartment itself was a large size and would have been able to have a Office table with chair recommended but didn't have. Limited cutlery with a fry pan and a couple of plates. The swimming pool would have been 30 metres in length permitting tumble turns across one end and only in one corner at the other end. Then beyond that a good size childrens' pool. Breakfast had a good array of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, and if you wanted they would cook up something special for you. Outside there was a laundry mat across the road, a chinese restaurant meals costing $3.50 to $8.00 AU depending on what you wanted. A great massage / facial boutique 50 metres to 100 metres around the corner charging $8.00 AU. A couple of safe money changers about 500 metres up the road. Across the road was a money changer who tried to give me the wrong amount and so I never went there again. A nice cafe 50 metres up the road. The coffee was great 0ne shot in a large mug, 2 mugs $6.50. The beach was a kilometre away though because of hotels and the indirect route we had to take closer to two kilometres. and while there was a lot of sand it wasn't an attractive beach. Everything else was a taxi distance away. Carre four 52,000 roupee, Galleria 80,000 roupee, Bintang Super Market Legian 30,000. They had a free vehicle taking people to Seminyak Square however neither of us enjoyed the shopping experience there. We walked to the Bintang super Market and using tracks and foot paths found the distance to be approximately 3 kilometres. It rained the first two weeks mostly at night and was dry the last week. We enjoyed the trip and if the price is right for next year would stay there again preferrably in the same room.
Staff very friendly, food in the restaurant very good. We spent a very good time in the this hotel! We'll recommend this place :-)
the only negatives were wrong beds given we had requested seperate beds but given a double which was resolved in the morning.
The lighting was very poor in some areas of main room and curtain did not draw completely so light came in quite early couldnt sleep in.
Another mirror in main room would have been good only 1 mirror in whole place in bathroom which was ok for 2 people but not if more
The only negatives would be the limited menu (and then the limitations of the availability of items on the menu. Housekeeping was hit/miss at times (but a call to reception corrected any issues immediately) and, the pool was super chlorinated but not actually cleaned. Green algae was growing on the pool walls and rather than actually clean it, they simply over-dosed with chlorine which burnt our eyes. Other than these issues, the stay was very enjoyable and the staff were very friendly and accommodating in every manner.
