Phillip Island - Penguins Up Late

Departing Melbourne, travel direct to Phillip Island and enjoy picturesque views of French Island along the way. 140km southeast of Melbourne, Phillip Island boasts a fantastic range of natural attractions, the most famous being the Penguin Parade of the island's Fairy Penguin population. Part of the Phillip Island Nature Park, the area protects and raises awareness of Fairy Penguins and also offers the entertaining opportunity to see the penguins return from a day of fishing and make their way across Summerland Beach at sunset, returning to their nests in the sand dunes by nightfall.
