Getting to Halls Gap

Getting to Halls Gap is an easy and picturesque drive just 3 hours northwest of Melbourne, however by the time you arrive you feel a world away from the city. A great way to enjoy the scenery along the way, the drive to Halls Gap can either be done at a leisurely pace via the Goldfields however if you just can't wait to arrive in this amazing place, the most direct route is via the Western Freeway and onto Ararat Halls Gap Road. However if you'd prefer to keep your eyes on the amazing scenery rather than on the road, there is a great range of public transport available for getting to Halls Gap. Departing Melbourne's Southern Cross Station, A V/Line rail service runs daily to Ararat where it connects with a coach service that operates to the Grampians.
