Noosa Beach

One of the most popular things about Noosa is its stunning beachside location and the Main Beach of Noosa is one of few Australian coastline beaches that face north. Its relatively calm conditions mean that it is ideal for swimming all year round. Patrolled on weekends and during school holidays and high season, it's safe for swimming and is also a popular fishing and surfing spot.

Just a short stroll from the boutique shopping and gourmet dining of famous Hastings Street, Noosa Beach is the ideal spot to relax and take a refreshing dip, laze around and work on your tan, enjoy some fun in the sun with the kids or pack a picnic lunch and take in the beautiful views from the foreshore. However if you prefer a more budget-friendly dining option, the Surf Club enjoys prime position right on the beach.

Just minutes from Noosa Heads, Noosa Beach is located south of Noosa National Park and enjoys easy access to cafes, restaurants and fashion boutiques, outlet stores, surf wear retailers, home wares, art galleries and more. Despite being a popular spot with regular Noosa visitors, Noosa's main beach still offers a relatively secluded experience surrounded by the picturesque National Park creating a unique atmosphere.

However if you're up for a little more adventure, follow the headland for a number of other beaches including some great surf spots with conditions suitable for beginners, experienced surfers and all skills levels. First Point is home to an ideal longboard break while Granite Bay and Tree Bay are small beaches popular with the locals. Further on, Alexandria Bay offers the very best surf while nearby Castaways Beach offers an off-leash dog area for the whole family to enjoy. Marcus Beach is closer to Peregian and although there is no patrolled area dedicated for swimmers, it is a great surf spot and offers excellent beach fishing.
