By Air

The closest airport to Noosa is the Sunshine Coast Airport located half an hour's drive south in Maroochydoore. Direct flights operate from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne taking approximately 30 minutes, 1 hour and 25 minutes and 2 hours and 25 minutes respectively.

By Road

Factoring in a few short stops, getting to Noosa by car from the following destinations will take approximately -

  • 2 hours from Brisbane
  • 3 hours from the Gold Coast
  • 13.5 hours from Sydney
  • 26.5 hours from Melbourne

By Bus/Coach

A number of bus services operate direct to Noosa as well as along the Bruce Highway at Cooroy (approximately 15 minutes from Noosa) with connecting services available into Noosa. Local services also operate between Cooroy, Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast Airport) and Tewantin with the bus trip from Brisbane taking approximately 2 - 3 hours.

By Train

There is no train station in Noosa, the closest is located in Cooroy 15 minutes west of Noosa. Train services operate frequently to Nambour, approximately 30 minutes from Noosa, however a number of connecting bus services also operate between Noosa and both train stations.
