Getting to the Sunshine Coast is easy thanks to its close proximity to major highways connecting it not only to the rest of the state but to interstate destinations as well. Located approximately one and a half hours north of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast can easily be reached along the Bruce Highway. For those visiting from further south, it is recommended you take a few days to arrive if you plan on driving otherwise there are plenty of flights available into Brisbane Airport, just 90 minutes from the Sunshine Coast. From Brisbane, there are also a great range of public transport options available including trains, buses and coach services.

Those wishing to visit Noosa should allow a little extra time with the trip from Brisbane taking just under 2 hours thanks to its northerly position. Those visiting popular holiday destinations such as Caloundra, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Coolum, Marcoola and Alexandra Headland should allow anywhere from just over an hour to a full two hours to arrive, taking the Bruce Highway north from Brisbane and exiting at either Caloundra Road, the Sunshine Motorway, Eumundi-Noosa Road, Maroochydore Road or King Street and following the signs into the main town centres. Be sure to allow time to enjoy the stunning scenery and popular tourist attractions along the way.
