Sea Life Park Hawaii

Located on Makapu'u Point on the island of Oahu, Sea Life Park Hawaii is a popular tourist attraction north of Hanauma Bay. A dedicated bird sanctuary and aquarium, the park focuses mainly on marine mammals. Sea Life Park Hawaii offers visitors the rare chance to get up close and personal with a range of marine wildlife and is a beautiful park featuring a number of habitats including lagoons, pools and reefs. Theatres also feature an exciting and interactive range of shows throughout the day.

Open daily from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm, Sea Life Park Hawaii is also home to a range of conveniences such as parking, lockers, dressing rooms, snack bars and restaurants. The park features a number of attractions which allow visitors to interact with the wildlife including penguin trainer talks, swimming with sea lions and dolphins, diving with rays and feeding endangered sea turtles.

Some of Sea Life Park Hawaii's most popular attractions include the recently opened Shark Tank, giving you the opportunity to experience a living exhibit in a 300,000 gallon aquarium. Featuring interactive technology, visitors can explore a range of native sharks including two types of Black Tips, Scalloped Hammerheads and Sandbar Sharks.

Dolphin Cove is an entertaining show where dolphins perform acrobatics in an open-air theatre in an amusing, educational and at times thrilling aquatic production. The Hawaii Ocean Theatre is another popular venue where penguin and sea lion shows take place under the guidance of the highly trained keepers.

The Kolohe Kai Sea Lion Show is also a highlight and will have the whole family laughing out loud with their antics. To extend the fun and get even closer to these cheeky creatures, visitors can also take part in feeding the animals. The Penguin Habitat Trainer Talk is also a great way to gain an insight into the fascinating lives of these little mammals and see them at play, jumping out of the water and enjoying the sunshine. If you're lucky, you might even get to see them eat.

As part of the Sea Life Park Hawaii, the Seabird Sanctuary is also a great place to view an exciting range of native Hawaiian birds including the Iwa or Great Frigate. The park is heavily involved in caring for and rehabilitating sick or injured birds and your visit helps to fund the many needs of these animals.
