Whale Watching Cruise

Despite its limited season, Great Barrier Reef whale watching cruises are one of the most popular tourist attractions from mid-July to late August. Taking advantage of the humpback whale migration that takes place off the coast of Cairns, these cruises provide the ultimate winter escape to balmy Tropical North Queensland.

Board the high speed catamaran and depart the Reef Fleet Terminal for the open water. Whales are generally spotted within approximately half an hour of departure and your cruise operator will ensure that everyone enjoys maximum viewing opportunities. These majestic creatures offer amazing photo opportunities and there is also an on board professional photographer to capture those magic moments.

Morning tea is provided and there are also snacks available for purchase on board however the half day length of this tour means you can enjoy lunch at many of the wonderful establishments on the mainland.
